The Guai-Mu is another brainchild of Ke-Lan, featuring her love for odd designs. The Guai-Mu is essentially a medium assault knightmare. Although shorter than the average knightmare, the Guai-Mu features hardened armor in it’s bulky design. With it’s sensor system being fitted on the front of it’s body, the Guai-Mu was equipped with a secondary sensor system in a dome-design on it’s left shoulder. This secondary system allows for medium-ranged advanced radar capabilities, even if it’s main vision range is limited to the front of the knightmare.
The dual weapon ports on it’s back come with a light rocket launcher and a medium artillery cannon, though these can be swapped for other frame-mounted weapons. It’s right arm allows this frame to carry a hand-held weapon. It’s three slash-harkens are fitted to it’s left arm, next to a standard LGC, which is it’s main weaponry.
Because of the use of an LGC, this rather small frame required a rather large power source. This is stored on it’s lower body, encased in twice the armor of it’s cockpit for obvious reasons. It’s legs are double-jointed, ending in the tri-digit design most people have come to call ‘devil’s hoof’. This allows the Guai-Mu greater mobility in uneven terrain, as well as allowing it a greater top-speed even on mountainous terrain. In addition to this, the Guai-Mu is equipped with a landspinner system.
Height: 4.1 meters
Weight: 7100kgs
Description: The Guai-Mu is a unique design in it’s entirety, being truly a creation of Ke-Lan’s mind. It’s odd design sets it apart not only in appearance but functionality. The frame is surprisingly well-balanced due to it’s weapon placement. This balance is slightly affected if the medium artillery cannon on it’s back is replaced with a lighter weapon, although it’s computer system has weight-compensator programming that will adjust the knightmare’s movements in an attempt to keep balance.
Many argue the Guai-Mu was an excuse to design a knightmare specifically for the LGC, but it’s efficiency speaks for itself. The double-jointed legs along with the tri-digit feet allow the Guai-Mu superior ground movement. This machine was made to prowl through any terrain, and it succeeds in it’s task flawlessly. Although incapable of flight, the Guai-Mu can out-maneuver most other knightmares on land. However, it’s medium armor make it vulnerable to high-end weaponry. The Guai-Mu serves best in ambush missions, where it’s maneuverability will prove to be an advantage over most mass-produced knightmares.
What the Guai-Mu lacks in armor it makes for in maneuverability, and in the sheer power of the LGC.
