A tiny knightmare to all standards of measurement, the Panzer-Schutze was built to be fairly cheap and nimble, and it fulfills that role fairly well. Unlike its cousin, the Landwehr, the Schutze does not have the capacity to support the HITAI targeting system. It is generally deployed in large numbers in regular combat, or in a small group to defend larger knightmares such as Panzer Hummels or Panzer Tigers. For its size, the Schutze has a massive amount of strength and engine power, allowing it to wield large weapons. The Panzer-Schutze can be quickly folded up and shipped.
Description: Diminuitive and light, the Schutze has a bulbous head that conceals two factspheres and that can be retracted. With cubical arms and legs, it is dwarfed by most knightmares, particularly the Panzer-Tiger that it generally escorts.
Development RP: Intended from the beginning as a skirmisher knightmare, the Schutze generally is used as an inexpensive melee knightmare, deployed in bulk to support longer-ranged knightmares. Unlike the Gun-ru that many draw comparisons with, though, the Schutze does have the Knightmare ejection system that the Gun-ru lacked. As a knightmare, it is about the same level as the Britannian Sutherland. in hte numbers that they are deployed, though, they can easily overwhelm opponents.

Code Name: Zweihander
Cost: 700
Manufacturer: Panzer-Krupp Metalworks
Part Type: melee Weapon
Construction Type: Physical
Equipment and Design Features
Built based on the weapon of the Landsknecht and Doppelsoldners, famous mercenaries of Germany in the middle ages. Basically a long, heavy blade deployed for hand-to-hand combat. Its weight makes it difficult for most knightmares to use, but its massive cutting power and wide hilt make it an effective offensive or defensive weapon, in addition to a cheap one. Not as powerful as a Katen yaibatou in its power, but its weight more than makes up by smashing enemy knightmares off their feet.
