Aleksei felt a hand tightly grip his wrist he frowned and sended a swift knee toward Gauron's gut trying to loosen his grip being so close to an opponent for too long wasn't good it caused the human mind to panic involuntarily it made you do stupid things it was like taking your mind and replacing it with that of a coward
Aleksei tried to remember the psychological exersises Spetsnaz practiced and only managed to slightly gain control of his movements he ignored Gauron's grip on his wrist and sent a punch straight toward's Gauron's throat he made sure to keep a close eye on Gauron's knife hand it would be hard to dodge and manuever in close quarters

Gauron flexed his abs just a moment before the knee landed. He hardly felt the blow. Deciding to risk the rest of the fight on the plate of steel that had been surgically implanted in his skull after some poor Knightmare piloting on his part in Romania, he ducked his forehead down and into the path of Makarov's fist. It wasn't the greatest plan ever, but Gauron was no master tactician. The punch was strong - as he had come to expect from anyone trained by the Spetsnaz - and dazed him a little. He pulled Makarov's arm forward, hoping to throw him off balance before he could capitalize on the slightly-lessened grip, and brought his right leg across his body before swinging it towards Makarov's. If it worked, Makarov would fall. If not... Gauron would simply have to improvise. ((OOC: If you're curious about the steel plate, it's in Gauron's character history here: codegeasszerorequiem.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=approvedchinesedynasty&action=display&thread=520 ))

Aleksei felt one of his legs come off the ground as Gauron attempted to kick his legs out from under him he quickly moved his other leg out of the way of Gauron's attack and hastily regained his balance and forced his arm away from Gauron's grip
he shifted into a Spetsnaz Advanced Knife Combat stance in which the tip of the knife was pointed at the opponent the stance was meant for stab movements, switching the blade from each hand and quick movement he had his other hand in front of him ready to guard against any attack Gauron might throw at him the Style was hard to recognize because it was only taught to a few Spetsnaz in the Russian Spetsnaz Guard Brigade because it took so long to perfect the style he began learning when he was 13 and had finally mastered it when he was 20 so hopefully it would give him an edge in this fight

Gauron retreated a few steps, just outside of Makarov's "lethal" striking distance. He watched as Makarov fell into a stance that was very uncommon. "I can count the number of men that I've seen using that style on one hand. I guess the Ruskies really liked your tenacity." He left out the part about those few men being long dead.
Gauron adjusted his stance and lowered his center of gravity even more. He flipped his knife into a reversed, edge out grip. It was meant primarily for defense, but he had killed his fair share of people while holding a blade in this manner. He made a feint-step to the right, quickly reversed it, and threw his left fist at Makarov's jaw.

Aleksei quickly attempted to grasp Gauron's wrist with his right hand and thrust the point of the blade forward toward Gauron's throat hopefully if he did manage to get a hold of Gauron's arm he could block movement of Gauron's other arm It was then he remembered that he was not to kill Gauron and a knife to the throat would be all it took to kill a man he knew he had done it before countless times he stopped the blade inches from Gauron's throat and backed away he didn't like rules when he fought but he had no choice if he wanted to keep his job

With so much of his weight behind the punch, there was really nothing that Gauron could do to prevent Makarov's grab. He watched as the Russian's knife came ever closer, knowing that his own blade was too far away to prevent the incoming slash. Being a realist, Gauron accepted it. Having accepted it, he was surprised when Makarov suddenly stopped his motion and stepped a few paces back.
After only the smallest of stumbles, Gauron regained his balance and stance. Without wasting another moment, he sprang to the right, swinging his knife out to the side. The next jump brought him to the left and his knife into position for a powerful stab. He lunged forward with as much speed as he could muster and lashed out, aiming to pierce Makarov's thigh.

Aleksei sidestepped the attack with all the power Gauron was putting in the attacks he was likely to lose his balance if they did not make contact leaving him exposed he stabbed forward with his knife twice using his arm strength it was not a strong as a stab like Gauron's with all his weight behind it but it was enough to pierce skin and muscle and he would have more control after he attacked which allowed him to react quickly if Gauron managed a Counter Attack the man he was fighting was no amateur he understood warfare and he knew that in warfare there was never any rules

Gauron was dimly aware of two new gashes in his arm. Adrenaline was coursing through his veins. Heart and breath rate were both accelerated. A voice in his head chanted "more!More!More!" like so many Romans at the ancient Coliseum. He stood from his post-attack position and stared at Makarov. "You ruined my suit," he said in a dull voice before launching back on the offensive.
He flipped the blade into a forward-facing Sabre Grip and stepped closer with each swing. He sent a quick jab at Makarov's chest, followed by a left-to-right horizontal slash at the flesh just above the knee, and the combo ended with Gauron throwing a punch at Makarov's stomach.

Aleksei backed quickly when he saw Gauron go on the offensive but hadn't reacted quick enough to do dodge his punch the hit knocked him off balance and he felt the knife cut shallowly into his chest before feeling another fist fly into his stomach he clenched his eyes shut but kept a tight hold on his knife he stumbled backwards and aimed the point of his knife at Gauron through half clenched eyes and squeezed the hilt causing the blade to shoot off the hilt towards Gauron it was his knife from Spetsnaz if you squeezed the handle of the blade it shot forward toward the enemy with enough force to embed itself deeply into the enemy ( A Spetsnaz knife can do that I gots a video www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrlzBj2lIJg )

Gauron saw a glint of light before something impacted with his right shoulder. He looked down and saw the culprit: the blade from Makarov's knife. His eyes shot back to the Russian's knife and what he saw made him laugh. It's a spring-loaded knife! he thought gleefully.
He reached up and pulled the blade out of the flesh of his shoulder. Blood seeped out of the wound, staining his white undershirt as well as the suit jacket covering it. He inspected the weapon in his hand carefully before tossing it to the ground at Makarov's feet. "That's a great little toy you've got there," he said in a bemused voice. "Maybe you're the respectable sort after all." Were he any other man, Gauron would have quit the fight long ago. Most soldiers - military and mercenary alike - would never look forward to fighting with a Spetsnaz-trained terrorist. Gauron's... "condition" helped with that situation. He transferred his knife to his left hand and waited for Makarov's next move.

Aleksei tossed aside the now useless plastic hilt of his knife and picked up the blade by the bar that now acted as its hilt he could feel blood slowly seep out of the shallow cut on his chest and stain his white undershirt he smiled slightly his adrenaline supressed the pain so he could keep going for quite a while
He got back into his Spetsnaz combat stance and took a few steps forward stabbing forward advancing with every strike he wondered how much Gauron could take judging from the pure size of the man and how he thought he guessed that this man would not be easy to defeat

Gauron dodged and deflected the flashing blade, waiting for an opening. Left. Right. Duck. Lean back. Makarov's attacks were speeding up. He was laughing the entire time. "Come on! Come on! Come on!" he goaded.
And there was the chance. Gauron spun the knife, using the ring on the hilt, so that the handle was resting along the backs of his fingers. With his hand free, he grabbed again for Makarov's forearm. It was unlikely that the Russian would fall for the same trick twice, so Gauron also swung his right fist at his enemy's shoulder. If the blow connected, it wouldn't cause injury. It was simply to eliminate balance and rhythm - two things necessary in a fight such as this.

Aleksei grabbed at Gauron's fist with his guard hand while his knife hand stabbed forward at Gauron's grabbing hand it slightly seemed like Gauron's attacks were focused on brute force with a bit of Tactical Awareness the attacks were unexpected true but one familar with tactics must always be able to make decisions quickly or react to his opponents movements this is what made Spetsnaz one of the most feared warriors in the world it was a mix of deadly precision and tactics within a deceitful but powerful frame they always seemed weak but behind that weak facade was a cold and powerful warrior

Makarov's knife connected, tearing into the skin and muscle in Gauron's forearm. He ignored the pain and kept reaching for the man's arm. If he could manage to latch onto the Russian's knife hand, he could try to disarm him and gain the advantage. He pulled his right arm back and away from Makarov's attempted grab. If he didn't start scoring hits soon, then victory would be impossible, so Gauron whipped his head forward and tried to smash Makarov's nose with a headbutt.

Aleksei noticed his failed grab and saw Gauron's face coming closer and closer he brought his arm up in front of his face and steeled his arm in a blocking position he felt the head butt strike his arm it was painful considering that the head was the hardest part of the body especially considering the metallic noise he heard when he hit Gauron in the forehead the blow was incredibly painful he pushed the pain towards the back of his mind and hooked his right leg around Gauron's and pushed forward with his arm and shoulder trying to knock Gauron off balance he didn't notice Gauron reaching for his knife but he held a firm grip on which would make it hard to take a Spetsnaz valued his weapon and would fight fiercly to keep it
