Blue skies. Birds chirping. Sun glaring. People running amok. Emerald eyes shut as the bearer of those orbs pinched the bridge of her nose in an attempt to soothe the headache that was currently fouling her mood.
‘Need tea. Now.’ Sakura thought to herself as she walked past the bazaars near Lake Kawagucci, fatigue evident on her face. With Zero MIA for the past few months, Sakura had spent every waking moment in search for the Black Knight’s lost masked leader. The result being many all-nighters. A child nearby started to throw a tantrum, her shrill voice echoing in Sakura’s head.
“Ugh…” Sakura groaned as she rubbed her temples tiredly, silently wishing for someone to shut the child up before she did. Thankfully, the child was soon appeased. Sighing as she continued down the street, Sakura’s mind began to wander. Here she was, roaming the streets near Lake Kawagucci, with no particular destination in mind, while her fellow comrades were back at BK Headquarters…the number of them steadily decreasing. All because of a lack of a proper leader. Sakura’s eyes narrowed slightly. ‘I swear when I get my hands on that masked idiot…’ Various images of Anju using Zero as a test subject flashed through Sakura’s mind. The one involving him being stuffed as a peacock was particularly amusing.
But all joking aside, Sakura had to find Zero. Fast. With a lack of a leader, members of the Black Knights were beginning to feel that they were abandoned, or that all of Zero’s talk of bringing about justice was just a hoax. Or worse, that Zero was actually a spy for Britannia and had rounded them all up just to be executed. Sakura paused slightly mid-step. How would she react if Zero turned out to be a traitor? Well, she wouldn’t be surprised, that much was certain. Sakura had seen far too many acts of treason in her life, both personally and impersonally for the idea to faze her anymore. After all, her former life ended because of it.
Sakura smiled slightly. Her former life…her life as a Knight of Rounds. A life full of naivety. One where she thought the Britannian government was built to help the weak, support the broken, aid those in need. Sakura scoffed slightly to herself. How wrong she had been. Not only did Britannia harm innocent civilians for their own selfish gains, but they had the gal to go and use her father in their quest for power. Sakura’s hand found its way to her locket subconsciously, a habit since she was young. She would have her revenge. Who cares if Zero turned out to be some deranged lunatic? It wouldn’t stop her. Nothing would.
But first thing was first: she needed to find a place where she could get some info. Whether it be at the local tea shack or the shady undergrounds, Sakura had to find somewhere where she could get a lead as to Zero’s whereabouts. “I swear, he’Anju-san’s gonna have a new guinea pig onceI find that jack-oomf!” Sakura stumbled back several steps as she collided with another figure. Shaking her head slightly, only cringing as it worsened her already prominent headache, Sakura bowed slightly in apology. “Sorry about that…I wasn’t look….ing…” Sakura trailed off as she saw the person in front of her.
Emerald eyes widened. “You.”

The revolver clicked as the gun was set to fire, his hands held the weapon tightly in its pouch, his finger touching the trigger ever so slightly. He was having a bad week for one, this counted as a way of sending it down the drain even further yet all the while also being a beacon of hope. A chance for achievement. The redhead in front of him was an old friend, and a great enemy. She had betrayed the homeland, and his friendship. His eyes met hers, hers met his. He'd hoped to meet her on the battlefield so he wouldn't see her face when he made her pay the ultimate sacrifice. "Yeah its me, and you're under arrest Miss Sakura Shizuka." Was all Izumi said as a few of the undercover agents that were spread across the arearevealed themselves. It was with them the britannian army hoped to capture and execute terrorists one by one, without the inteference of their knightmares and leader. The agents didn't even need to say anything themselves for civilians to scatter and flee, until all that remained in that market place was either Britannian military or Black Knight. There was only 1 of the latter.

Himitsu had finally made it to the lake Kawaguchi hotel, she drooped off her bags. She had a fun encounter with two people at the airport. One was a Britannia named Anderson and the other was from what she could tell of mixed blood. Japanese and Britannian for sure, Miss Shizuka. She sighed after she had put her bags in the room and when down for some tea.
To her surprise Miss Shizuka was downstairs, Absentmindedly walking around. Himitsu could tell from the movements of the men in the crowds that they were following her. She saw that miss Shizuka hadn't noticed them yet. "Verdammter Spezialtruppen" Himitsu muttered under her breath as she slightly sprinted to Miss Shizuka, But not before Shizuka had bumped into someone. A Boy and by the look on Shizuka's face she didn't expect nor want to see the kid.
"Shizuka!" Himitsu called out Tring to draw Shizuka and the boys attention on to herself. "Shizuka, Vieil Ami, There you are I've been looking all over for you" Himitsu said Smiling as she walked up to Miss Shizuka. "Thanks again for coming to have Tea with me" She said as she stood next to her. "And who might this be, a Petit ami, Huh?" She said nudging her slightly tiring to put the feel that they were very close friends. Himitsu looked at the boy tiring to analyze him as if her were a lab rat under a Surgical Knife.
{OCC: to make it easier for us imma put the translations on the bottom in parentheses 1. Verdammter Spezialtruppen - Damed Special Forces 2. Vieil Ami - Old Friend 3. Petit ami - Boyfriend }

"Yeah its me, and you're under arrest Miss Sakura Shizuka.” Sakura sighed slightly to herself, a sad and tired smile gracing her face. Izumi Kaoto. One of the few people in the world that Sakura could consider to be dear to her. She had a long history with Izumi, tracing back to her days as a Knight of Rounds. The two sparred constantly, each time resulting in her claiming victory (which baffled the scientist seeing that Izumi was supposed to be scientifically advanced). Actually, it was Izumi who was her competition for the title, she being the victor. However, once her father had been killed, Sakura went crazy, slaughtering all those in her father’s division, as well as some high officials. Naturally, she was caught and was thrown into prison, only to escape via Izumi’s jet a few hours later. Izumi was most likely force-fed some halfassed story about how she ‘betrayed’ her country, and now here he was-two seconds from arresting her.
Sakura sighed heavily as she saw the multiple guards approach her. “Not again” Sakura groaned out. Seriously! She literally just came back from the airport where she had dealt with these dimwits. “Can’t give me a break, can’t ya?” Sakura said, giving Izumi a dry grin. One that held a joking nature as well as a sad one. When would Izumi snap out of it? When would a rock come flying and hit him on the head, granting him a stroke of enlightenment where he would finally realize that she was not the traitor in the drama know as Life? But at the same time, she couldn’t blame him entirely. He was a solider who had been told that a comrade had turned traitor. It was only natural that he would play the role of the loyal and noble one and see to it that justice was served. Had the situation been reversed, Sakura knew she would be acting the same way Izumi was. Possibly even worse.
But still…of all times she had to collide with the man, it had to be on the day when she had a splitting migraine and already had an encounter with Britannian officials. Couldn’t be tomorrow, could it? Nooo…had to be today. Clearly someone up there hated her.
Unsheathing her sword, Sakura glanced at the men closing in on her before turning her gaze back to Izumi. “How long are you going to be asleep, Izumi? You of all people should know who I am…and who my father was.” She turned her back to him, looking at him over her shoulder. “Wake up.” With that, Sakura left Izumi to his thoughts as she charged forward, easily knocking down several of the guards at once. In a matter of a few seconds, Sakura was standing amongst a pile of unconscious forms. Not dead-she wouldn’t kill these people. But it would take them a while to come around. Staring up at Izumi with somewhat begging eyes, Sakura sheathed her sword. She would not hurt him. She had promised herself that the day she fled from Britannia. “Izumi…listen to me-
"Shizuka, Vieil Ami, There you are I've been looking all over for you" Sakura whirled her head around to see a young woman with green hair wave to her in greeting. Sakura’s eyes widened slightly. That was…the lady from the airport! Rohan, wasn’t it? The one Asswipe was being flirtatious with? Sakura felt her stomach knot unpleasantly. Not good. This was not good. Now she had made it known that she was acquainted with Sakura, odds are she was going to be taken in for questioning. And if she refused, she would be arrested for withholding information about a wanted fugitive! Sakura closed her eyes and willed herself to be calm. “Thanks again for coming to have Tea with me" Sakura smiled awkwardly, still unsure how to approach this. If she pretended that she did not know the woman, then there was a chance that Rohan would be kept safe. However, by going along with this, perhaps…
"And who might this be, a Petit ami, Huh?" Sakura snapped her head over to Rohan, eyes wide. Blinking slowly twice, Sakura bit out a laugh, eyes flashing between Izumi and Rohan. Well. Wasn’t this…awkward? Given the situation and all. Sakura glanced back at Rohan, her mind running a thousand thoughts. What was with this woman? Did she not take the hint that Sakura was trying to avoid her? The rejection back at the airport should have been more than enough for a hint? It wasn’t that Sakura disliked the woman or anything…it was simply out of worry for the woman’s safety that Sakura acted like this. As grateful as she was for the woman’s attempts to be friendly with her, it was clear that she did not know who Sakura was.
But the problem was, how to respond? Now that she thought about it, it wasn’t as if Sakura could pretend not to know her and say that Rohan got her confused with another person! There was only one Shizuka in the bloody directory! ‘Father in heaven…’ Sakura silently pled, praying for some miracle.
Smiling kindly, Sakura bowed to Rohan. “Good afternoon. Thank you for the invitation…but as you can see, I’ve run into a friend. If it would be alright, may he join us?” Sakura turned her eyes to Izumi, both silently asking him to go along with this as well as promising him no harm. “What do you say, Izumi? Think we can talk this over a cup of tea?”

Izumi almost cringed at the sound of another woman's voice, a bloody european of all things, the accent being a dead giveaway. The comments about having met Sakura before and an invitation to tea were one thing, but it was the third - and the only part Izumi clearly understood - that nearly sent him crazy. BOYFRIEND?! Yeah right! The day he was her boyfriend was the day the Britannian Emperor grew wings and ran around with a harp in his hands, singing in pure latin. Not gonna happen. “Good afternoon. Thank you for the invitation…but as you can see, I’ve run into a friend. If it would be alright, may he join us? What do you say, Izumi? Think we can talk this over a cup of tea?” "Sorry Sakura, but no. My orders are rather strict, and I'll be honest, I'm not risking it. My weeks been hard enough, don't make it any harder." He pulled out the handcuffs. He then turned his head to the european woman, "And you had better realise that you've been associating with a terrorist. If it weren't for the fact you're a european citizen I'd call you in for questioning." He said attempting to put the handcuffs on Sakura behind her back.

A bright day it was, beautiful, warm. Was there anything to break the peace of the Lake Kawaguchi, Yekaterina would definitely not have wanted anything to do with it.
Having come back from Russia, the Black Knights’ third in command had had nothing but work. At first, along the background operations behind the attack at that bridge, for her it was dealing with the new members – those who didn’t know their place with a need to be tamed, or those who just were to be guided and taught a bit to be full-fledged parts of the Black Knights. But with Zero disappearing and the month after it passing by, their numbers began to settle down, then gradually even decrease a bit while restlessness began to sneak – now it was more like keeping the rest of them together and help her commander in it to the best of her ability. Yekaterina would do anything for the Black Knights not to fall apart, for the organization was too precious to be lost - it was, after all, the biggest and the most important one a resistance group, with the most possibilities of succeeding when confronting Britannia and in pursue of freeing the areas the great Empire had conquered. Yekaterina had fought years to find such an organization which she hadn't been able to create herself, and now she would not let the years she had spent with the BK's to go in waste, for she believed in the organization and the possibilities within it.
Only one thing she did not help her with, and that was the second in command’s quest to find the missing leader. Yekaterina knew and agreed full well that if Zero couldn’t be found soon enough, the Black Knights would probably be destined to fall into abyss of doom, for the main reason for them to be part of it – aside the power and prestige of the very well build and organized organization – was the charisma of their leader, Zero. The man, who had once lead the revolution, and now lead it again restored from the bottom of his grave. But be him however the most important, Yekaterina wouldn’t look for him. If he was to return and take the lead again as he used to, then fine, and Yekaterina would continue to follow him. But had he ran away or been a spy or be the reason whatever and would not come back, then so be it – he would have lost her respect and she would put her resources to rather finding a new one than searching for the old, incompetent one.
But now, for the first time in ages, she had left the Black Knights’ base – which she definitely did not do very often, first and foremost for her own nerves’ and that way also for the sake of those Britannians’ swarming around everywhere. Today, though, she would have to bear with them, for her supplies of tea had ran almost dry, and with whatever the cost she had had to leave the base to get more. Regular black trousers and boots, a dark scarlet long blazer and an ale brown short wig were doing the trick more than nicely - adding her great act to the disguise. But definitely had she not prepared for this – seeing her beloved commander almost captured in the middle of the day in this place, which was the nearest site where the third in command’s favorite blend of tea could be bought. Couldn’t be tomorrow, could it?
When the alarm had rang and the Special Forces’ men had rushed towards Sakura, the regular people – or those pretending to be one of them – had been pushed out of the lounge and the little café residing at the corner of it (where also Yekaterina had been for her tea). For their own safety, it was said, of course. There was a terrorist in there, and sure she was to be captured. And dangerous it could be inside when that was going to happen. Flying bullets and running soldiers for sure, for of course anything to capture a terrorist, a traitor.
But seeing the figure of a woman she very much respected and was glad to be of assistance, Yekaterina sure knew better than the rest of the crowd. (Sure from her own point of the view.) A traitor the red-head definitely was not, a terrorist – well, no, more like a resistance leader. And in secret Yekaterina cursed once again for the sake of those damn hypocrite Britannians. A terrorist, a traitor – you slimy monkeys of the Empire ruled by baboons.
Yekaterina had to flee with the crowd, for sure as she now was a regular Britannian lady all right, disguised and acting like one for the sake of some now so – but as she ran, she waited for a possibility as soon as possible for her to turn around and get back in. No way she would leave her commander without even trying to be of some sort of assistance. The only problem now was, how she would manage to do so. At the corner of her eye se saw a bush full of flowers and bees buzzing around.
In a moment Yekaterina began to scream out very loud ”Aaaaaaaah, bees! Take them away!!” (a good act she put on, surely she was the master of disguises at work) and ran even faster – completely switching her direction and dashing now right back in, before anyone was able to stop her. And there, she continued her run seemingly blindly and completely horrified by the imaginary bees chasing her, in the end colliding straight with Izumi holding the handcuffs.

“Good afternoon. Thank you for the invitation…but as you can see, I’ve run into a friend. If it would be alright, may he join us? What do you say, Izumi? Think we can talk this over a cup of tea?” Seems the Miss Sakura was trying to have a peace chat with this man, Maybe she didn't need help.
"Sorry Sakura, but no. My orders are rather strict, and I'll be honest, I'm not risking it. My weeks been hard enough, don't make it any harder."Or Maybe Not!"And you had better realize that you've been associating with a terrorist. If it weren't for the fact you're a European citizen I'd call you in for questioning." That got her off the hook, but Sakura wasn't so lucky she was about to be arrested! As soon as the boy, Izumi moved closer, as if the god were there to help them. A girl ran into Izumi screaming.
”Aaaaaaaah, bees! Take them away!!”The girl screamed. Himitsu took this as a chance to escape, she nugded sakura and Kicked one of the soldiers out of their way. Flipping another one and Readying the Gun on her tight holster.
"This way, Quickly" She said as she made sure the soldiers were out of their way.

"Sorry Sakura, but no. My orders are rather strict, and I'll be honest, I'm not risking it. My weeks been hard enough, don't make it any harder." Sakura felt her eyebrow twitch slightly in annoyance as she fought back the urge to clonk Izumi over the head. This….idiot. He thought his weeks were difficult? Sakura stared at Izumi incredulously. Try keeping a bunch of hell bent on revenge patriots together after their leader decided to go MIA. Yeah. His life was a walk in the park as far as Sakura was concerned. And what was the harm in having a cup of tea? In her eyes, tea was the universal solution to all world problems. It wasn’t as if she was heavily armed (if one went beyond the sword hanging from her hip and hand guns in her pockets…) and even if she was, Sakura had made a mental vow not to kill Izumi long ago. Just because the man was being an absolute mule about this whole situation did not mean Sakura would go back on her promise.
‘I swear, Izumi…you have to be the biggest idiot I ever befriended.’ Sakura thought as she felt her eye begin its infamous spazzing streak as she saw Izumi take out a pair of oh so shiny cuffs. The idiot. If he seriously thought that Sakura was going to be put under arrest without a struggle, the man was in dire need of a shrink. She began to squirm and twist her body as Izumi took hold of her wrists, making the cuffing difficult. “Ah, but Izumi…what sort of fugitive would I be if I didn’t make your life a living hell?” Sakura said, humor evident in her tone before she finally broke free of Izumi’s grip, a sharp stomp on the foot proving to be somewhat beneficial. Spinning around on her heel, Sakura took a hold of Izumi’s collar, her grip firm. All traces of humor were gone from her face, replaced with one of complete seriousness. “I think I said this already: Wake up. It’s about bloody time you snapped out of your little dream world, Izumi and open your eyes. I don’t know what they force-fed you back at HQ regarding me, but let me tell you something: it’s complete bullshit. The truth in a nutshell is simple: my father was used to harm innocent people. He got whiff of this and refused to assist Britannia further. He was disposed of. That’s it. Now, I’m not saying I want your pity nor am I trying to recruit you or anything of the manner. I’m merely trying to warn you. Because, trust me…once they find you are no longer useful to them…” Sakura snapped one of her fingers. “You’re dead.” Sakura let go of Izumi’s collar, and looked at him with a slight sad look on her face. “As for whether or not you’re gonna believe everything I just sprouted out to you is your own business. I just don’t want to see another person I care for to become a rag towel of Britannia. That’s-
“Aaaaaaaah, bees! Take them away!!” Sakura paused mid-speak as she heard the faint sound of someone screaming. That voice…sounded oddly familiar. Sounded almost like…
Sakura shook her head slightly. Nah, it couldn’t be. What would she be doing here of all places, anyway? And why would she be screaming over something as trivial as a bee? Last time Sakura checked, her Secretary General had much more of a spinal chord than that. Sakura shook her head again, a slight chuckle escaping her mouth. Yeah. Stupid thought.
A sudden blur of green and black soon zoomed by Sakura and promptly colliding with Izumi. Sakura stood there, dumbfounded, her eyes widened as she just stared there, her eyes not believing what they saw. Yekaterina Tsurugi, Secretary General of the Black Knights, a woman to be feared when provoked and a woman who had earned Sakura’s respect…had just fly tackled Izumi Kaoto. Opening and closing her mouth, Sakura tried to look for the right words, but failing miserably. What the hell was Yekaterina doing here of all places? The woman hardly left BK Headquarters, usually only when there was a mission. No matter the reason, fact was that now Sakura’s beloved Secretary General was currently latched onto a member of the Britannian Army. Not good. However, the odds of Izumi knowing who Yekaterina was were slim…
"This way, Quickly"
“Huh?” Sakura soon found herself being dragged away from the scene by Rohan. It was only then that Sakura noticed the unconscious bodies of the soldiers surrounding the young European woman. She felt an eyebrow rise slightly. ‘Guess I was right. Woman can fight.’ She thought as she spared a glance over her shoulder, her eyes looking worriedly at both Izumi and Yekaterina. It was against her morals to leave Yekaterina alone with Izumi like this and fleeing by herself. But, she knew that was the reason why the Secretary General acted the way she did in the first place-to let Sakura escape. It would be more insulting if Sakura did not take her up on her offer. Besides, the woman could defend herself. Sakura knew that more than well enough.

The Captain failed to get Sakura secured, with her instead turning the situation on him and grabbing him by the collar. I’m merely trying to warn you. Because, trust me…once they find you are no longer useful to them… You’re dead.” "Even if that were true, you didn't have to take more lives. Eye for an eye leaves everyone blind you know. They made courts for a reason y'know."
Izumi then fell to floor rather quickly when he was tackled by the japanese woman - what the hell?! "Grr, get off!" He yelled, but instead found his hands cuffed, this bitch! She'd got him into his own cuffs! He kicked her off, and charged at Sakura, he could still get her, he could- No chance, as he was kicked and knocked out by another person who had arrived on the scene, another terrorist? No he... he couldn't fail... not again...

"Grr, get off!"
The soldier's response almost made Yekaterina to drop his act and make her simply stare the man, quite stunned. Honestly. Did he just... growl at her? Simply like that? Now really. She had known that Britannians were animals, but to just give out a plain bawl like that? Now there if nowhere else she had proof. A pity that couldn't be recorded anyway.
If it hadn't been for her act, the Secretary General would have just laughed out loud - just plain amusing she found this sound given out by the soldier. So straight and instinctive it had sounded - coming straight from his heart, eh? Now this would really entertain her for a while.
On the outside she held her slightly shocked an expression - oh, what did the world of theater lose in her - but before she had a chance to jump off him and probably put on one heck of an act of apologies or something, he already kicked her off and just stormed away. Another moment to blink for her. Now this man.... honestly had no kind of manners now did he? Kicking a woman - a civilian - away just like that. Truly the Britannian 'Ultimate Soldier'. Britannia's disregard and beastliness to the fullest.
Naturally he ran to the direction where Sakura had been seen to escape - and with some foreigner, had Yekaterina marked. Well, not that she seemed to pose a threat at her at the moment, but Yekaterina would not let her run away just like that. No way - one moment they could just well be aiding you, while the next they'd stab you in the back. She wouldn't take the risk anyway - and especially not when it was about her Commander.
Well, she was safe, for now - at least not in the hands of this Brit beast. Oh no you don't... She thought, quickly sprinting up from the floor and with a swift move of her leg kicking in turn him from the back, the man apparently falling and getting knocked out. A bit of disbelief in thoughts Yekaterina began to run away from the scene, heading back out - now these where Britannian elite? She had thought there was something familiar in the man - or should he be called a mere boy - but only now she had began to realize who it had been. But - their own 'Ultimate Soldier' knocked out that easily? Oh please. She rolled her eyes, charging back to the sunlight, out of the building. But she wasn't going to leave it for good - not just yet. Her beloved Commander was still in - and in some hands she had know knowledge of. And in hands who were sure to know how to fight. So, she took a slight pause to catch her breath, then took on a casual phase and began to walk to the other side of the building for another way in and to ensure her Commander-in-Chief hadn't gone from bad to worse.

Post by Susanna Achrenius on Jul 30, 2009 1:01:47 GMT -5
As the morning had been the beautiful one, as was the day still, had also Susanna got out of the Tokyo Settlement, having made her way to the Lake Kawaguchi with a set of acrylic colors, brushes and an easel. A couple of canvases she had bought along the trip. Then having reached her destination, she had found a peaceful public balcony and resided to paint at the left outer corner of it. The morning had passed by fast with her just painting, occasional people passing by and some of them stopping for a moment to watch her work, perhaps even give it a compliment or two. Susanna, though, hardly noticed this as her concentration was fully in what she did, not in what happened around her. Not until loud yells of emergency snapped her out of her thoughts.
People had been forced to leave the balcony - also Susanna having had to leave her painting and all her belongings there, but not before she had got a glimpse of escaping crowd down away under the balcony. They were guided to the upper floors of the high building and told to stay calm. An arrest was going on downstairs, no need to panic, but no way to go anywhere before the situation would have been solved out.
Sitting there among the crowd, Susanna was, for the most it, barely irritated. No way she would just leave her equipment and painting out there to be ruined in the sun with no one taking care of it. And being disturbed like this in the middle of a good burst of inspiration, too... As if she wouldn't have had the time to continue and keep on painting as long as she wanted to, but inspiration was always an inspiration. Came when it wanted and went as fast as it appeared - always coming completely at random, and was even harder to consciously grasp, not to mention anew. Wouldn't do.
But for too long had she no time to be grim over her painting either. After some time they had been shepherded inside, a call came that they'd have to move even higher to the building. Apparently the situation downstairs hadn't gone like the officials had planned it. Sounded like the public forced to the upper half of the building was going to be 'rescued' and transferred to safety from the hotel's roof with helicopters. Well, wasn't that nice. Susanna nothing but pleased. Now there'd probably be no way at all for her to retrieve her things.
And better still came. Not intentionally - though she could've as well done it to get back to her belongings - she got lost by being pushed into some small side corridor from the main on by the crowd and then, being left behind and by turning a couple of times wrong trying to locate a way to the roof, she found herself from upper end of some stairs which led only downwards. She stopped lean at the railing and gave out a deep sigh. Now this was great above all else. She heard no voices of other people nor the helicopters anymore, nor did she know how to get back to the balcony she had left from. At this point, though, she really had no choice but to continue and go down the stairs - going back to where she came to this point wouldn't lead anywhere where she hadn't yet explored.
A while she got to go down in peace before a new sound made her halt, probably ten floors below from where the stairs had began. A sound of steps - a sound of one, no, two people running. And by the of it sounded, they were coming right at her direction. To stay - or to run? But too little time she had to make the decision, when the steps already reached her, two women rushing into sight right behind the nearest corner, running right at her.
