Ever since the beginning of time, there have been legends and tales about a power so great that it nearly destroyed the world. Supposedly, there was a shinobi that was able to seal all of the biju inside of himself, gaining infinite power. With this power he had single handedly wiped out the shinobi villages of the ancient past, and very nearly killed all of humanity in his onslaught. At last, a hero emerged from the shadows of mankind and managed to break the seal on the biju, releasing them into the world, and killing their host in the process. The hero who had done this lead the remaining shinobi against the biju, and after years of strife, they were able to seal them all away in the bodies of babies. Since then, biju have been sealed inside of seperate people in order to keep one from ever gaining that power again.  Eventually, an organization known as Akatsuki had formed, and they were intent on gaining the power of the biju for themselves. At first the five great shinobi villages had simply ignored them, allowing them to do their thing, but after a while, it became apparent that they would not disappear. When the Akatsuki had started gathering the biju together, the villages finally acted, and with the help of the remaining jinchuuriki, they were able to stop Akatsuki. It's been a hundred years since that time, and once again the wheels of fate are moving. There are rumors of a new Akatsuki organization appearing, and they are seeking to gain the power of the biju just like before, only this time they have a secret jutsu, a jutsu that was used thousands of years ago by a monstrous man who'd sealed all of the biju inside of himself... |
