It's like....the world, but online. You sign up as a citizen in a country, pick the region or state you want to live in - and you live your life from there. Get a job, buy food, work, fight in wars, get promoted, make your own newspaper, run for Congress or Presidency, etc., etc., etc.
It can be boring at first, when you're just starting, but when wars get going and people start getting excitable, it gets interesting to see who's on what side, who's trying to take over what, and so on.
If you join, I recommend joining Ireland. The US has all but been conquered by Indonesia and Russia, and Ireland needs some citizens. We're a strong fighting force, but when you compare our...pft, thousand citizens to France's 200,000 - it's a big difference
