Gripping the hilt of his Katana he slashed forward hard, fast and swiftly. He had been doing this for over an hour. each time he took a swing his speed and power were becoming increasingly weaker. But this was the point he was training his body for any upcoming battles. Sweat rolled down his forehead swing after swing, Zero had gone missing just over a month and things were becoming progressively worrisome. The Black Knights were without their Leader, the man of miracles. There was a strong possibility that The Black Knights would soon collapse upon each other with out a formal Leader.
"Two-ten....two-eleven....two-twelve....two-thirteen-" Michael huffed out.
Even if they could find a capable leader to replace Zero would people still follow them. After all they had only gotten this far thanks to Zero and any other Leader might not receive proper respect. Zero set up a large huddle for anyone to overcome. Although should none take up Zeros position it meant that it was an end to everyones dreams. Everyone who believed in him through the First Black Rebellion and the Second Black Rebellion over a century ago, it seemed history was repeating itself.
"Two-fourty....two-fourtyone...two-fourtytwo....two-fourtythree....two-fourtyfour."
Right now what he needed soon enough was someone to challenge him anyone would do. There was a gaol he had to achieve and a lack of leader was not going to deter him from reaching the goal. If anything it meant that he was now going to work harder because now he was at a disadvantage.

The small clicking of her boots was all that was heard as Aoi stalked down the hallway. The swishing of her cloak gave off the intimadating aura as if it knew it's wearer was unhappy. Though it often swung that way something was different about today. Something that most likely disturbed her division members.
Stopping abruptly the cloak swung forward at the unexpected stop. Breathing through her nose Aoi closed her eyes. It had been awhile since Zero had disappeared and the anxiousness form the other members of the Black Knights was starting to get to her. With no leader they had begun to get desperate, worrysome, and it greatly annoyed her. Rubbing her shoulder absent mindedly she sighed. She had also begun to worry greatly, not that she'd ever admit it, afterall she didn't want the members to get too desperate and do something idiotic. Though if they did it wouldn't really surprise her considering how much they had looked up to Zero, their man of miracles.
Her thoughts were interuppted as she heard the swishing of a sword and heavy breathing. Curious she walked towards the room where she could here the noises from.
"Two-fourty....two-fourtyone...two-fourtytwo....two-fourtythree....two-fourtyfour."
"Hm" Aoi huffed as she heard the counting. Whoever it was they had definetly been out here for awhile. Ducking her head in she saw one of her division members training with his kantana. She studied the movements of his sword and suddenly got an idea. Smirking she walked into the room her hand on her knife.
"Up for some training?" She let the question hang in the air. She hadn't trained with a partner in a while and she certaintly wouldn't pass up an opportunity to train.

With his standard stoic expression he looked up to see who had challanged him. It was his division Captain. It had was usually someone else who would intrude on his training like someone from their own division; but it was rare for Captain Aoi to throw more than a few words his way whenever they met. He resheathed his sword and wipped some sweat of his fore-head. He was tiered he had been out here for more than two hours practicing his sword swings but even so he decided not to let an opportunity like this one slip past him.
He walked to the farer end of the room and turned to face Captain Aoi. "Captain. I accept your challange. May the better soldier win." He waited a while before Captain Aoi was centered and ready for their match. He wasnt exactly sure what type of weapon Aoi was going to use in their fight, he recalled what her favorite weapon was and had already formulated a counter plan against it but on the off chance it was something else he had to be cautious.
He sprinted towards captain Aoi staying low to the ground. He unsheathed his bladeand quickly fliped his Katana to the blunt side, so even if he hit her the only damage he would do to Aoi would be a bruise or in the worst case scenario he would brake one of her bones. With his left hand he aimed at Aoi's hips, with his second and third strike he aimed the attack ather right arme and shoulder and leapt backwards as far as he could to prepare himself for captain Aoi's counter strike.

Seeing him resheath the sword Aoi's smirk widened. Perfect. She needed a good challenge right now to keep her mind away from.....other details. Ones that concern the stability of the Black Knights without a Zero. Her soldier walked to the farer end and faced her.
"Captain. I accept your challange. May the better soldier win."
"Yes let the better one win." Aoi muttered her agreement and then got into her stance. Right leg in front, knees slightly bended with her right arm in front, left in back and both lower to the ground. Her knife in her right hand with the blunter end on the side where she struck from. Even though she'd most likely dominate with her choice weopen she still had her spares underneath her cloak.
"Let it begin." Was all she murmered as he charged towards her low to the ground. First punch was with the hand not containing the katana. Catching it neatly right before it encountered her hip she grinned very slightly. He was faster then she expected. Next punch came swiftly to her right arm but luckily she caught it before it hit her shoulder. As soon as she caught it he immediately jumped backwards and seemed to be waiting for her attack.
Twisting her arm slightly from the sting of the hit she smirked. Yes, at least this wouldn't be as weak as her other fights had been. Turning her attention to her opponent she showed her teeth. Preparing her attack she ran forth. Each step her long legs took created a faster pace than a normal running pace. Though she always did take longer strides than most. It just happened to increase her speed.
Once in front of him she moved her shoulder across her chest so the blunt end was towards him she aimed for his left shoulder. Then she swung her right leg out to catch him in the stomach. Following the fluid movement her right hand steadied herself on the floor as she directed a kick towards his chin. Finishing her movements she bent her arm and pushed off of the floor so she was in the air and flipped so she landed a short distance from him.
Giving him a small smirk that said 'don't hold back' she waited for his counter move. Fully knowing that her next moves would not allow her to put distance in between them. Not that she minded.

Her moves had both power and speed behind them and moved swiftly just as they moved fluidly. As she attacked him her first few blows connected. Having been hit he dropped his katana on the ground. When the blow to his stomach came he moved in with the attack and managed to hold on to Aoi. The problem came when Aoi aimed at his chin, he let go of Aoi with enough time to avoid the strike to his chin. She pushed away from him giving them enough distance as he imagined she would have done. His body and reflexes had slowed down greatly from his time practicing with his sword. And at first glances it would seem that Aoi not only had the upper hand but would win the fate.
Even so there was a method to what one could call his madness, As he let the blows, that he had no chance of avoiding due to his slight fatigue, hit him. It was merely a ruse for her, Michael was inviting Aoi to attack and when she did he had managed to hold on to Aoi. In that short time right before he was almost kicked in the chine he had stuck his hands inside Aoi's robes and retrieve two of her Knives. He quickly flashed them in front of his captain, to judge her reaction.
"Aoi now we can fight with your favorite weapon." Hand in hand he prepared to begin his strike on Aoi. "You know its partly in due to the fact that you thought the attacks you were doing were your own idea but i was influencing you subliminally. But this isn't your fault Captain after all I'm your lieutenant and i know all there is to know about your habits and mannerisms."
He quickly closed in the gap between them pulling out the Knives he stole from Aoi, He launch a flurry of attacks aimed to cripple Captain Aoi's movement her arms, hands, and thighs. He then did a leg swipe to try and knock her balance off and pin her down if she managed to fall by aiming at the loosest parts of her black cloak.

Seeing the flash of her spare knives as he held them up she smiled slightly. He was a quick thinker, she'd give him that.
"Aoi now we can fight with your favorite weapon. You know its partly in due to the fact that you thought the attacks you were doing were your own idea but i was influencing you subliminally. Oh if he only knew how much he had yet to learn about her and her style. Luckily she still had her reserve weopens that she had train with at Narita. Though they were mostly used for long range attacks and she'd rather not use them here. But, she would if she had too. Though she doubted she would have to. Preparing for the next wave attacks she wondered what he would try to do.
Seeing him close the gap between them she raised her eyebrows as he pulled out her knives. Seeing the flurry of moves she bit her lip slightly as she moved to dodge them. He managed to hit her thigh before he tried to unbalance her by aiming an attack at her legs. Bending backwards she barely managed to use her arm to push her legs off the ground before he pinned her down by stabbing parts of her cloak with the knives.
Chewing on her lip she manage to give him a wiry half smile before bending her knees and pushing off of the ground, ripping the parts of her cloak that held her down. Twisting the knife around in her hand she aimed a blow to his bicep. Then, in her flowing pattern, she turned around to land a kick to his hip. Her flurry of attacks were based off of the flexibility she had gained from training. Her arm bended in an odd position to catch her self so that she could bring both feet squarely to his chest, so that there'd be at least some distance between them, before she tried to sweep his leg out from underneath him by swinging her right leg towards his ankle and using her hands to steady herself on the floor.
She had to admit though. He wasn't have bad. At least not as bad as her other opponents who could barely last mere minutes to her attacks and certaintly not able to grab her weopens or touch her in anyway.

The flexibility of her body astounded him. The way she moved so fluidly and still managed to put enough force behind her attacks was what had elevated her to the position of Captain among the Black Knights. It was something he had overlooked perhaps even underestimated but that certainly wasn't going to be a mistake he would make twice. His face was still completely composed of no emotion but even with his training and stubborn will to never show any emotion behind the mask he wore he couldnt help but tighten his jaw.
Much to his chagrin in blocking the blow to his hip, he felt a hard blow hit his chest that made him stumble backwards. Out of the corner of his dull grey eyes he saw Captain Aoi sweep the floor. Michael was overly tired from his previous training ad all the attacks he was enduring to keep up pace with a rested Aoi. Falling backwards he hit the floor hard near his Katana.
"Captain, you seem to always take me by surprise. But i have no doubt that you will win our match. I dont speak to you out of confidence rather I speak out of previous knowlege." He stood up slowly and placed both of his stolen knives in his right hand and held his katana in his left. " Theres a saying im sure your familiar with: Know thy enemy and know thy self is a pretty accurate way to describe our battle here. Im quite aware thay your more discplined in more than one art than the hand to hand combat and your impliment of these close range weapons, but have you ever bothered to know my own arts? Whats more i dont think you have ever witnessed me in a fight before today, have you?"
Michael decided it was time to employ one of his favoite openings when it came to his swordsmen ship it was both percise and would cause some damage to her. ¨Forgive me captain¨He ran as fast as he could forward building up speed with each pace he took, this was one of his strongest assests he was fast sometimes even to the point that the only thing that could counter his speed were human instincts themselves. He pulled back his blade and jabed forward right above her hip avoiding her major organs and quickly pulled back his blade all in the same blinding motion. He than performed a quick spin to move behind Aoi and re-performed his strike.

"Captain, you seem to always take me by surprise. But i have no doubt that you will win our match. I dont speak to you out of confidence rather I speak out of previous knowlege." Aoi studied his movements as he place both knives in his right hand and his katana in his left. " Theres a saying im sure your familiar with: Know thy enemy and know thy self is a pretty accurate way to describe our battle here. Aoi's body immediately tensed as he spoke those words. He was planning something. And whatever it was, was probably not good. ¨Forgive me captain¨ Aoi only had time to move slightly back before she felt the piercing pain of the blade entering her skin. Just a sharp intake of breath through her nose was all that could be telled of her pain. Seeing him remove the blade and spin she was able to react, on instinct mostly, as she moved her body to his side and aimed a kick to the middle of his back. Then ,still fluidily though not as much from the pain, her hand reached out to grab his neck and squeeze the muscles that lied their. Keeping her hand where it was she flipped over his body to land a bit away from him.
"Not bad." Aoi muttered holding the wound slightly. As she held it she managed to slip the trip wire onto her fingers without notice. Taking a breath she barely moved her fingers and felt her weapons pull inside their pocket. Smirking she turned her gaze to her opponent. "But, unfortunately for you," She raised her hands to her shoulders height. Then right before she spoke she pulled the weapons to her hands."Not good enough." She then threw five of the weapons at him quickly. On of them aimed to graze his ceek, the others aimed at various parts of his body where no major organs were. She saw the trip wire catch the light.

Michael struggeled to breath as Aoi had caught him by the throat. "Damn" He thought "I suppose i didnt give enough credit to the captain. Being able to parry the end of my attack and than put me in a comprimising position as this was definetily above my expectations of her." He grinned to himself as he mentally prepared himself for what his next plan of action was going to be.
He watched his captain do something with her free hand unsure of what it might be he decided to play it safe forhis next move. She quickly leapt away from him and threw a few more knives at him. One of the knives made contact and cut past his cheek, bllod trickled from his wounds and he gave a cold glare to Aoi. Four other knives flew at him, with his katana he mannaged to knock them all down.
He was actually rather thankful that this was a sparring match and Aoi wasnt throwing the knives with the intent to kill other wise one of them might have been on the floor losing blood by now. He clenched his jaw and took his kenpo stance. He focused on Aoi and replayed all the movements she had used to dodge, parry or otherwise block his attacks. The majority of her movemnts required her to either use her legs to block and parry but to dodge she needed to have enough space to be flexible, which unfortunately she did have.
He picked up the knives he knocked down hith his katana a moment ago and rushed her again at blinding speeds. While Aoi had her incredible flexibility to count on, he had superior speed working for him. Michael made sure that the tip of his blade would be able to hit her while staying out of her short range combat. He swung the blade viciousl. Michael never put much power into any of his attacks his goal was to open as manny wounds as he could and tire her out. Ifshe was lossing a lot of blood she would quickly feel to dizzy to make fast enough counter moves and since his blade was already sharp just a light swing would be enough to cut her skin which in turn conserved alot of his energy.

She watched as he picked up the weapons he had managed to knock down with his kantana. He quickly moved towards her with blinding speed. He stayed out of her range and began slicing at her with his blade. She had managed to move backwards so that the blade 'lightly' grazed over her stomach. She winced as she felt the new wound open up. The bluenette realized that he was probably trying to make her lose a lot of blood.
Aoi smirked as she watched her knives in his hand. Might as well do it now. Raising her hand she pulled sharply towards herself causing the tripwire to pull the weapons to her which in turn meant Michael himself considering his tight hold on them. Once she did that she flipped behind him, taking advantage of his unbalance and then pulled the tripwire farther back so it went behind his head. She raised her left foot sideways onto the center of his back. She then wrapped her fingers tightly around the tripwire and pulled as far back as she could so that his back would bend over her foot.
Listening for the cracks of his back she then swiftly used her other foot and placed it on the back of his knee. This caused her to fall back and she used the tripwire hand to catch herself. So now his arm was probably bended into an impossible position, her left foot on his mid back, and her right foot on the back of his knee. Of course she was flexible enough to do this though she sincerely doubted he was. With a dark smirk she slid her hand further back, which in turn would make him bend back farther, and listened for the cracks of his back.
