The Former Knight: Sakura Shizuka 's Relationships

[Sakura Shizuka]

- Complete Hate, Sworn Enemy: This person is one who Sakura loathes with every fiber in her being. She will not hesitate to kill that person, despite what others may say. It will take more than one cup of tea to calm her down if she sees this person.
- Dislike: Whether it be due to the way he/she acts, the initial impression she got, or from personal experiences, this person is someone who is not someone Sakura considers to be pleasant. Although she will not go a la madman at the sight of him/her, Sakura will act extremely cold and sarcastic to that person, a more than obvious sign that she just does not like them.
- Acquaintances: this is where most of humanity is placed in Sakura's heart. Most of the people she meets do not impact her enough to be considered a friend or potential enemy. To her, these people just merely exist, though she will be respectful to them, given her nature.
] - On Friendly Terms: this person has broken the wall between Sakura's cold nature and the idea of 'friendship.' While she doesn't consider this person to be extremely near and dear to her, Sakura does have more tolerance for this person and values them a great deal more than the average person.
- Friend: This person is a rare one, for not many people are considered to be friends by Sakura. This person has her complete devotion and she will do whatever she can do to see to it that that person is happy.
- Best Friend/Family/Love: someone has to be incredibly influential in Sakura's life in order to be placed here. As rare as it is for her to consider someone as a friend, it is even rarer for her to consider someone to be a best friend. This person can be of family blood (though there are none alive) or a fellow comrade. This person is someone incredibly dear to Sakura and she would risk her life in an instant to save theirs.
- In Love With: this is the one person whom Sakura can say she has romantic feelings for. This person trumps all others in the sense of protecting, and Sakura would do anything for that person.

Anju Saravati

As some people may have noticed, these two characters are very close to each other-this is mainly b/c in real life, Anju and I are best friends. We've known each other for about 11 years now and so our relationship is reflected in our characters.

Before Sakura joined the Black Knights, Sakura was a former Knight of Rounds. However, she was betrayed and her father was killed. As such, Sakura slaughtered off many high officials, resulting in her imprisonment. Sakura managed to break away and became a wanted fugitive. Whilst on the run, Sakura slowly became weaker and weaker and after about 1 1/2 months of lack of proper nutrition and sleep, Sakura collapsed in an abandoned alley.

That was where Anju found her. The elder woman, still possessing the maternal instinct she had with her late daughter saw Sakura and immediately took her in. Initially, Sakura was wary of this alcohol addict of a techie. Anju told Sakura of her past and that she was headed off to join the Black Knights. Intrigued by the idea of being able to get her revenge and feeling that she owed the woman some sort of protection for saving her, Sakura agreed to accompany Anju.

Along the way, both women found that despite the fact that they were polar opposites on the outside, they were both remarkably similar. They both lost someone dear due to Britania, they both have a sarcastic nature and both have an extreme sweet tooth. They formed a solid friendship and since then Sakura has vowed to protect Anju no matter what, willing to give up her own life for Anju's in a heartbeat. Sakura considers Anju to be her top priority when it comes to safety, seeing the woman as the mother she never knew. In exchange, Anju protects Sakura from Britania as the girl is forever wanted as a fugitive, and gives her some sense of a 'home'.

Izumi Kaoto
Sakura and Izumi go back to the days when Sakura was the Knight of Three. During her days as a Knight, she and Izumi would constantly spar, she proving to be stronger than the scientifically advanced young man. However, it was through these spars that she and Izumi developed a subtle friendship that grew over time. After she escaped from prison, she and Izumi met in one last spar, the result being that through sheer dumb luck she got the keys to Izumi's jet and took off (which she returned, as she had promised). Sakura's belief is that it is best that she and Izumi never meet again, given the circumstances. However, she does know that she is a fugitive and Izumi is a solder so the odds of them having to face off in battle is high. As such, she has made a mental vow that should she ever cross blades with him in battle, she will never kill him.

- Lucien 'Ishtar' Darcy

Sakura's relationship with Lucien is a typical one: the man teases her by doing what he does best-flirting. Her initial reaction of Lucien was not a positive one and she often warned Anju to stay away from him, out of worry for the elder woman's safety. However, as time has passed by, Sakura has seen that Lucien (despite his perverted behavior) is a good man at heart. While his antics still annoy her to no end (and much to Anju's delight), Sakura has opened up to the man and would do everything in her power to see to his safety.

- Yekaterina Tsurugi

Sakura's viewpoint of Yekaterina is one that has resulted from seeing the woman in combat. Due to her superb fighting skills, Yekaterina has earned Sakura's immense respect and Sakura will try to do whatever she can to ensure the woman's saftey, both out of her responsibility as her Commander, but as well an individual.

Aoi Akuma

Sakura's relationship with Aoi is mostly that of a Commander to her Subordinate. Sakura values Aoi as a solider and gives her the respect that she deserves. She knows Aoi is essential to the Black Knights, having proved her worth a multitude times over. As such, Sakura will see to it that Aoi is safe. However, she has yet to fully open up to the girl on a personal level, thus placing her with the majority of humanity in Sakura's heart.

Himitsu Nymei Rohen

Having only met the woman twice, Sakura's viewpoint of Himitsu is relatively neutral. She is just another being in the world, not an enemy but not an ally. What does concern her, however, is Himitsu's persistence when it comes to having tea with her. In Sakura's eyes, it would be best for Himitsu to not associate with her. Himitsu seems to think differently.

Zero

There aren't many people that Sakura considers to be true friends-Anju and Izumi being probably the only two. Everyone else is considered to be an acquaintance to her. Zero is no exception. Although he is her leader, and she will do whatever it takes to see to it that his orders are carried out, Zero is not someone she feel she can confide in, nor is he someone whom she flat hates. She respects him in the sense that he is the one who will help her get her revenge, but if ever in the situation where she had to choose between whose life to save, Sakura would save Anju's life over Zero's in a heartbeat.


-Kuro Vi Britannia

Since he is of royal blood, Sakura by default is not crazy about Kuro. She sees him as she does with any other royal-a spoilt naive fool. Her viewpoint on him did not brighten after her first encounter as the man proved to be an delusional questioning idiot (in her eyes) who needs to wake up from his dream of being able to rid the world of war single-handedly.

-Phillippe Anderson

Anderson is another poor soul who has Sakura's feathers enough for her to blatantly say she dislikes him. Immensely. After all, their first encounter did not result happily for her as Anderson was able to escape from captivity via the use of dust-something which Sakura considers to be incredibly lame. As if being embarrassed was not enough, Sakura also ended up wounded by one of Anderson's stray bullets, adding more fuel to the fire of hatred that is growing. It is one of Sakura's goals now to see to it that the man is humiliated the same way she was, possibly even greater.
