Okure was standing at the Narita mountains watching his division assembling downhill. This was probably the best possible spot to organize a training camp for the Black Knights. It was distant enough for the Britannian military not to show up interrupting them, and it held a significant part of the former revolution. It was no wonder that Okure had suggested this precise place for the camping area. It was of course every division leaders' own choice whether they'd participate in the practice and where would they hold it, but supposedly this would be the main area of the drill. Okure's division was the first one to have arrived and the men were ready for his next orders. As for no one was to be seen Okure decided to start the preparations and have his new arrivals interviewed before the other divisions arrived. "Group and team leaders 2 minutes for gather up." Okure sat down at the ground and started to outline his timetable. The camp would be hard for the newcomers, but Okure had also thought of a little easier training program as well. He would also be attending the practice himself, at times he wasn't holding it. The timeline looked quite messy, but it would be a lot clearer after Okure had time to discuss with the other division leaders.
"Sir, all group and team leaders are gathered." The eldest of the leaders reported to Okure as usual. "Great, listen up. We're gonna start the exercise by placing our front line over here" , Okure pointed at the nearby edge of the forest and the mountain side on the map, "and the camp site will be established here. Since other divisions haven't arrived yet we aren't in a rush and therefore you'll have plenty of time to prepare the camp. Everyone understood? Great, you can take control from now on, we'll have lunch at 12:30 pm so we'll have another meeting at 11:30. I suppose we'll have a camp site established then and our men are working with the front line. Also, bring the new arrivals for my interview. You're dismissed."
Okure watched the leaders leave and join their own groups. They then gave their orders and the well organized division started to swarm around like ants working with their ant hill. Soon first tent was composing and the first new arrival was running towards Okure. This would be a great practice camp indeed.

What a marvelous sight. One might go as far to say that this was a work of art, fluid in its poetic machinations. And yet Vierre was merely gazing out over the hard working soldiers of the Fifth Division, imagining their toils as something far, far grander than the establishment of a base camp. Not that base camps weren’t important. Vierre gazed up at the isolated clouds that traveled the skies that day, the sun already demonstrating its strength before the noon hour. He was sitting suspended above the ground, balanced upon a sturdy tree branch. One leg resting on top of the branch, bent at the knee, while the other dangled precariously. His back slumped firmly against the great trunk of the tree. Enjoying himself, he casually worked on cleaning the barrel of one of his two handguns.
“Oi! Captain Okure Nagamushi of the Fifth Division,” Vierre called out from his perch, some ways off but within earshot, when the last of Okure’s men had departed with their assigned tasks. He used the overly formal and cumbersome title on purpose, though he knew it was not necessary. “Up here,” he waited for Okure to find him. He pulled the pistol slide back and snapped it shut with a solid click, finished with the first gun. “Okure-- good to see you again! It has been far, far too long, no? A crime, really. By the way, I must applaud the work of the men and women under your command. You run a tight ship. A well-oiled machine. …And all other relevant idioms too. Look at them. So industrious… Such discipline… Perhaps I should pick up a pointer or two from you.” Of course Vierre’s First Division was a perfectly competent force too, well trained and coordinated. However, they also tended towards their Captain’s jump-first-and-worry-about-a-landing-later attitude.
Vierre peered through the open barrel of his second gun, looking into the ejection port and out through the muzzle. Sunlight streamed and ricocheted through the grooved cylindrical hollow. The maintenance he performed on his weapons bordered on ritualistic. “The fine ladies and gentlemen of the First Division will be arriving shortly,” he informed his Fifth Division counterpart. “I just thought I would arrive a little early and take a moment to survey this historic site. Humbling, in a way.” He spread his arms out, gun still in one hand, making a grand gesture towards the forests and the mountain. He paused, then lowered his arms and continued to clean.
“Would you be interested in a game of cards when there is a moment? Maybe one with wagers might be more enticing?” Vierre grinned at Okure. He was well aware that he and the older Captain shared an affinity for gambling. Unfortunately, in the remote regions of Narita, gambling dens were not so readily available, so a friendly game or bet among colleagues would have to do for now. Even a betting pool on who would complain about the mosquitoes first would suffice.

“Oi! Captain Okure Nagamushi of the Fifth Division,” Okure lifted his head as the last of his new recruits left and a familiar voice called his name. "Up here" His eyes met the man who had called him. The sun was shining behind the man so he couldn't see his face properly but the way he spoke and the way he was sitting upon the tree branch identified him as Vierre DeMara, 1st division Captain and Okure's fellow gambler. “Okure-- good to see you again! It has been far, far too long, no? A crime, really. By the way, I must applaud the work of the men and women under your command. You run a tight ship. A well-oiled machine. …And all other relevant idioms too. Look at them. So industrious… Such discipline… Perhaps I should pick up a pointer or two from you.”
Okure smirked. It truly was Vierre in person. He started to walk swiftly towards Vierre, and as he walked he tried to remember the last time they really had met. It really had been a while since the two of them had met as Vierre had said. Okure was so deep in his memories that he didn't even realize to answer to Vierre before he began to speak once again. “The fine ladies and gentlemen of the First Division will be arriving shortly. I just thought I would arrive a little early and take a moment to survey this historic site. Humbling, in a way.” Vierre had a small break as he made a gesture towards the forest with his hands. “Would you be interested in a game of cards when there is a moment? Maybe one with wagers might be more enticing?”
The comment forced Okure's hand to probe his pant's lower left pocket by reflex, to check whether he had his playing cards with him. His hand hit the corner of a small metal box, which contained his playing cards. Okure smirked again and took the metal box from his pocket. "Vierre DeMara, captain of the 1st division. How have you been doing, you old brat? It's great to see you" Okure laughed. The man sitting before him was one of the captains Okure held in high esteem. The younger captain had always been impressive and Okure had always kept him as propably the most talented Black Knight leader and, for sure, Vierre was the captain that resembled Okure the most.
"It really has been a while since we two have seen each other. I'll look forward to see if your men are even a half of the man their leader is." Okure gave him a wink. Of course Okure knew Vierre's men were propably the best you could find from the Black Knights, that's why they were the 1st division. Okure also new they had the best medics, after his own division of course, for Okure had trained most of them. The man now only a few steps from him was also training his men really hard so Okure was looking forward to see what his best medic students had became. " In the meanwhile, why wont you come down here? Let's take a walk, I'll show you a fine place for your division to settle down. And if you wish, we could afterwards hit my tent for the game you mentioned" Okure smiled at him and tossed him the metal box he had held in his hand.

ooc: Sorry about the delay!
"Vierre DeMara, captain of the 1st division. How have you been doing, you old brat? It's great to see you"
Vierre chuckled and quickly holstered his weapons. He always felt a little self-conscious with them out around Okure, knowing how he disliked firearms of any kind. He slid off the branch he was resting on and quickly descended to the ground, dragging a gloved hand against the thick, sturdy trunk of the tree. “Old? If I’m old, what does that make you?” retorted the 1st Division Captain in playful mockery. “Couldn’t be that bad I suppose. I don’t see a walking cane on you yet!”
While the Captains of the Black Knights were often assigned to different locations, with few opportunities to really talk or spend time, the respect Okure had for Vierre was mutual. Vierre felt what some might call a bond with the older Captain, for reasons besides the obvious love for all games of chance. Perhaps it was his age and the tempered sensibility that came with maturity. The 5th Division Captain was like everyone’s big brother. A sort of stable foundation for the Black Knights, and even Vierre would have readily admitted that he sometimes needed a grounding presence.
"It really has been a while since we two have seen each other. I'll look forward to see if your men are even a half of the man their leader is." Okure gave him a wink.
“A long while indeed! Such is cruel destiny. I hope at least you and your men have been collecting grand and epic tales of bravery and romance. As for mine, well, it just wouldn’t be fair to compare them to their leader.” Vierre grinned. Okure would know he wasn’t serious in the least. “I will tell you though, your students have proven themselves time and time again. I took a rather nasty stab wound to the abdomen a few months back. My fault really. Sure, the blatant frontal assault might have been what they least suspected, but one of those bastards still got close enough to rip an ugly hole in me. Long story short, your students patched me right up and I am stronger than ever!” He laughed charismatically.
"Let's take a walk, I'll show you a fine place for your division to settle down. And if you wish, we could afterwards hit my tent for the game you mentioned". Okure smiled at him and tossed him the metal box he had held in his hand.
Vierre caught the box with his right hand. He gave it a light shake, and upon hearing the playing cards residing within, smiled. “Of course, by all means. Lead the way.” As he walked behind Okure, Vierre took in the scenery again, this time from the ground level. “So Okure, have you heard from any of the other Captains? Surely it can’t just be you and I here. All the other Captains are much too serious, eh? They should come out and have a little fun”

"You are right about that my friend, the other captains are much too serious. Besides this training camp is meant for hard practice so I don't understand their absence at all. But for what I've heard, we'll probably have higher classed personel coming here. I've heard Yekaterina Tsurugi would be coming to check our troops." Okure started to walk along a small path leading to the woods nearby. "For the rest of them I really can't say. Hope somebody would show up though, I've got 'bogey-heads' for at least for 6 divisions, we could have a small after-camp war if you want" Okure gave Vierre a wink. He knew Vierre couldn't resist the idea of having a small division versus division battle. The 'bogey-heads' were like real bullets, but they consisted of mainly gunpowder and wood. This causes a normal reaction for weapons, but they are harmless as the wooden pellet burns in the firing process. Combined with laser sights and laser detecting vests, that disable the laser sight when being hit, the bogeys were used as training battle equipment, making the training battles feel like actual battle, except that there were no injuries.
"But anyway, how's the wound? I'd be glad to take a look at it if you don't mind" Okure grinned at Vierre and stepped into the forest, which they now had reached. The forest was old and consisted of big old trees that Okure identified as oaks. The sounds of the camp disappeared and the scent of fresh air and forest overwhelmed Okure's senses. "Not that I didn't have trust in my students. Quite opposite actually, I'd like to see what they remember of my lessons and how they've been training on their own. And, well I haven't seen a bigger wound for a while," which meant approximately one week for Okure "so I'm quite curious" Okure's smile widened as the trail split in two and the men took the road leading to left, where the forest would soon turn to coarse-meshed and much younger.

“Oh? Is that right? The Secretary General herself intends to grace us with her presence? I suppose it would be a responsibility for her to attend.” Vierre walked along side Okure, the soil beneath his feet crunching with each step of his combat boots. The fresh air was a welcome change from the indoor living at the Penglai Island base, or patrols through the ghettos of Area 11.
“Hope somebody would show up though, I've got 'bogey-heads' for at least for 6 divisions, we could have a small after-camp war if you want."
Vierre slid his gaze over, glancing at Okure out of the corners of his eyes. Sly Okure… he knew exactly the reaction and response he would draw. First of all, Vierre was too proud to refuse, not to mention that the First Division had a reputation of overzealousness to maintain. But more importantly, if Okure even so much as hinted that this was some kind of challenge, Vierre would not be able to refuse. “Almost unfair of you to ask, Okure. I think you knew my answer before the question itself. Another Division would certainly be nice. Nothing quite as invigorating as the chaos embroiled in the clutches of three-way combat.” His eyes seemed to gleam as he attempted to visualize the scenario.
"But anyway, how's the wound? I'd be glad to take a look at it if you don't mind."
“Hmm?”
“I'd like to see what they remember of my lessons and how they've been training on their own. And, well I haven't seen a bigger wound for a while so I’m quite curious."
“Ahh… I’m afraid it isn’t that large anymore. A testament to the training my medics received from you really. Such precise stitching. I would not have been in better hands had I been some ancient heirloom quilt.” Vierre stopped walking and with his right hand, reached across his body and pulled his Black Knight tunic up just enough to reveal a faint, but lengthy, scar marring the side of his lower abdomen. The wound had obviously healed well, and would continue to fade over time. “Sorry to disappoint. I’m sure it would have been messier if the enemy had caught a major organ. Maybe next time hmm?”

Okure took a brief look at the wound that had obviously been taken well care of. The skin and flesh around the wound were perfectly normal and there were no signs of after-damage what so ever. "Heh, maybe next time. Though, I'm glad to see that my students haven't forgotten all I've taught them. That could've been a nasty one if it hadn't been treated well. I saw one quite similar case earlier this month that hadn't been treated at all. The left flank of the patient was covered with rotten flesh. Quite charming fellow."
The path led the two of them uphill, towards the top of Narita mountains. The soil turned into slightly more rough and stoner. The path would soon lead the two to where the forest ended. After that it would only be a small climb upwards and the two would end up at a flat crest, from where one could see at both Okure's campsite and the campsite Okure had thought Vierre's troops could be placed. " As for the Secretary General, all I know is that I've been informed she's moving around here somewhere. Like you said, it's her responsibility. I don't know who's been marked as the supervisor of this drill, but for what I think it is more than a possibility it could be Tsurugi. How have you been doing by the way? I mean out-of-work. Any luck with cards and women?"
They had now reached their destination. The view was breath-taking, it was above everything and still compared to the mountains it seemed to be only the beginning of the beautiful mountainside. The forest surrounded the mountains below them and above them, the mountains were but solid rock. Without a doubt this was the most beautiful and best spot to settle a camp for generals, officers and commanders. Okure's camp laid at their right and just in front of them was a perfect, empty spot for a camp. Surrounded by trees, but still as a flat ground the spot offered cover from air and a good shooting range for on-ground attacks. " So what do you think? Thought this would be a good spot for your troops, considering their number and skills."

Vierre half-grinned as the older captain described the rotting flesh of an unfortunate past patient. “That sounds just lovely. Absolutely wonderful! And just in time for lunch too. Thank you so much for that Okure. But, yes, I am also quite glad that your students haven’t forgotten the teachings of their master.”
As the two captains paced towards the top of Narita, Vierre stopped momentarily to look back out over where they had come from. The hill had been fairly steep in some parts, and the view between some of the lighter foliage was far reaching.
“How have you been doing by the way? I mean out-of-work. Any luck with cards and women?"
“Hmm?” Vierre turned and took a few quick paces to catch up to Okure, bits of gravel and small stones scattering down the hill behind him. He then laughed, an amused light reflecting from within his eyes. “Out-of-work, eh? He chuckled again. “Why, Captain! You of all people should know that carrying the banner of the Black Knights isn’t work. It is a lifestyle!"
"Regarding my fortunes with the cards though, I will tell you that the last time I sat down at a table, events unfolded in a way such that I angered a rather disagreeable and ill-tempered crime boss. And as with women? Well… let’s just say that that also angered a disagreeable and ill-tempered crime boss… and father. A long story I assure you. One wrought with gallant bravery, scintillating romance, vile treachery, and a bold escape from the uncaring grasp of certain death!” Was Vierre exaggerating? Perhaps a touch. “But turnabout is fair play, what of your adventures, Okure?”
Reaching the top, the view was indeed something to behold. "So what do you think? Thought this would be a good spot for your troops, considering their number and skills."
“Remarkable, Okure! Here I thought we were in for a brutal regiment of intense training, not a beautiful mountain retreat. This will be perfect. Don’t let my men and women hear you complimenting them though. It will go to their heads.” Vierre grinned and pulled out a radio.
“Alpha-1, Bravo-1, Charlie-1, Delta-1, Echo-1,” said Vierre, addressing his team leaders.
“Go ahead Captian,” crackled a reply through the radio.
“We’ll be setting up camp on my 20. Beacon activated.”
“10-4, sir”
Vierre put the radio away, but not before flipping a small black switch on its side with his thumb. The First Division would have to track down their captain with only the location signal from his radio. It was never too early for a simple training drill after all.

Yekaterina dashed through the forest grumbling under her breath - mostly in Russian since it had way richer vocabulary for swearing than Japanese. It was unbelievable. First that bore for a subordinate officer, and then that little European moron... Assuring her that he could walk on his own, than then disappearing the next moment she had checked he was still on his feet. Mудаки. жопы. (1)
Well, she wasn't going to look for him. Though how useful, she didn't particularly love Europeans to bits either. If her help wasn't for his liking, then so be it. If he still wanted to talk to Zero, then he would have to find another way to do so. Frankly, a stranger he was, and let alone an EU soldier as he claimed to be, though how wounded, if he chose to not grab the opportunity she had given to him, she wouldn't bother for him anymore. In the end, it was also one possible threat less brought to their base - as Zero was still also missing so either he'd talk to her or Shizuka-sama, or wouldn't then get much out of whatever he came to him for either.
And so did very much grumpy Secretary General make her way to the campside, rushing from the forest to the designated training area effectively surprising as well as scaring a group of newbies around there - (not to mention she would give them a good speech of the lack of guards and security around that area as it seemed no one reacted to her coming before she was in sight, which would definitely not do if any not-a-BK would happen to do the same) - but finally caught a sight of a group leader she believed to belong to the 1st Division (so, DeMara at least was around), charged right at him. "You. Where's your captain?" As a response she got a hasty salute - as the Division Captains might have heard rumors, most of the lower ranks really had had no previous notice of her taking part to the camp as well. He soon explained her the situation and the simple drill they were at, her simply nodding. Well, at least they were at something useful. She dismissed the group leader and decided to stay down at the camp. With not the injured jerk around anymore either, she would have really no use for the 5th Division Captain - as she had now recognized also Nagamushi's people here and there around - either. So, let them be - she would meet up with them later.
She turned around and headed back to the site where she had first burst into the camp. Some new recruits would soon learn a very good lesson about letting the guard of their site so down.

Okure listened Vierre to give his men orders, what a remarkable leader. There were no question about his group finding their way to the site which the two men were standing on. For what Okure knew of Vierre, his men were the best of the best. But ofcourse, that's the reason they were the 1st division. "Alpha-1, Bravo-1, Charlie-1, Delta-1, Echo-1. We’ll be setting up camp on my 20. Beacon activated."
He remembered the earplug he had taken off whilst holding the short briefing to his team-leaders as Vierre put his radio off. "Knew you'd love the spot. And what comes to my close history, there's not much to tell. Met this one girl not so long time ago, during a night-time jog. Very interesting person, hope to see her sometime again. Otherwise the usual, drinking, working, studying, teaching etc. Okure explained while applying the earplug to his left ear. The tactical earphones connected to his radio soon started to crackle as Okure turned his radio on. Attaching his microphone to the collar of his jacket he heard the sound of his wachman trying to call him. "Watch, Okure." "Okure" he replied to the man he had set in guard. One of the first team's men, very talented young fellow. "Sir, I've tried to reach you for a while, for we have a guest. She appears to be the Secretary General Tsurugi." So Tsurugi had arrived as Okure had thought. "I think we have a guest Vierre. Perhaps we should go and enjoy some refreshments at my camp? I think Tsurugi would like to accompany us, now that she has arrived." Okure grinned and set the earplug a little better to his left ear. "Corporal this is what we'll do. Order someone to take Tsurugi to my tent. What's the situation with our men?" "Sir, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of Mike are ready with the practice and have started to arrenge meal. Other teams are still work-in-progress." "Great. Keep your guard up, Okure out." The earphone went silent again. "Well, should we go, cap'n? Okure smirked and padded Vierre on the shoulder as the first of Vierre's group-leaders appeared from the woods, climbing the hillside.

Vierre smirked at his fellow captain and raised an eyebrow. “Now hold on just a moment, Okure,” he said, stopping abruptly where he was and folding his arms across his chest. “I cannot allow you to conveniently gloss over a mention of some apparently ‘very interesting person’ met during a night-time jog. I’ll expect you to elaborate! But that can be done later, and I will certainly hold you to it!” Vierre chuckled. While he would never push another person for personal details, he could not resist a good story. And as counter-intuitive as it may have been, the often peculiar nuances of true stories could often exceed anything conjured within the imagination. Such was the intricacies of reality, something that Vierre savoured.
"I think we have a guest Vierre. Perhaps we should go and enjoy some refreshments at my camp? I think Tsurugi would like to accompany us, now that she has arrived."
Vierre nodded slowly. “Ah the Secretary General has finally arrived has she? Very good. I suppose one can’t hold a proper training camp without some refreshments, right?” The First Division Captain placed a hand up to his own earpiece and relayed to his team leaders, who were now appearing in the distance, that he would be stepping away to meet with Secretary General Tsurugi.
"Well, should we go, cap'n?”
“Absolutely,” replied Vierre. He extended an arm. “Please, after you.”
As the two men walked back to the Fifth Division’s camp, Vierre watched the Black Knights working around them, rushing about with individual tasks. They were all honest, hard-working men and women. Many of them were Japanese, but it seemed that the current incarnation of the Black Knights was more culturally diverse than a century earlier. Vierre himself was proof of that. As was the Secretary General. It didn’t seem to matter though, as they were all united under a common banner and a shared purpose. Even their Commander-in-Chief had close ties to Britannia, and he was certain there wasn’t a single member of the Black Knights who would doubt her.

Zane stepped off of the truck and stretched while inhaling deeply. He'd been on Penglai Island for far too long. With the stretch finished, he patted down his pockets. Quarter, check. Radio, check. Cigarettes, check. With the ritual done, he turned to the other men and women of the First Division. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, let's get our gear unloaded and get to camp!" He reached up and activated his earpiece. "Captain DeMara, we're here and getting ready," he reported. The Captain responded by saying that he was going to meet with another member of the upper echelons.
Zane turned back to the others. They were well-disciplined and had already started unloading the gear. He made his way to the end of the truck and started helping. Senior Officer or no, it was only right to help. In almost no time at all, the First Division's camp was set up just a short distance from the Fifth.
With all of the hard work done, Zane pulled out a cigarette and lit it. After a drag, he grabbed a light machine gun from an open crate nearby. He laid out a small tarp, sat on the ground, and began disassembling the weapon. It hadn't seen any action, but regular maintenance was still vital. He called over one of his squad leaders, a Japanese woman by the name of Mikihara. "Keep an eye out for any of the higher-ups. If you see Captain DeMara, let me know," he said while inspecting the barrel of the weapon spread around him. She gave an affirmative and went back to her duties. Zane took another drag from his cigarette and kept working on the LMG.

Aoi stared upward towards the top of the Narita Mountains. It was a steep climb, with winding paths leading upward, but she knew her team would be able to handle going upwards.
“Edith.” A slim tan woman appeared beside her. She had sunset orange hair twisted into a braid and pinned onto the side of her head. Edith was in a black military uniform bearing the Black Knights symbol. The uniform had no sleeves, but instead she wore elbow length gloves.
“Yes Madame?”
“Get the rest of the division in their sections; make sure they’re able and ready.”
“Yes Madame.” Edith said as she walked back towards the rest of the division, her coat swaying behind her. “Ok everyone get in your sections! Section leaders gather your members,” Her commanding voice echoed. “Akiko get off your arse and get with your leader and stop wasting Madame Aoi’s time!”
Aoi watched on as Edith got everyone in line. Edith was one of the best on her team and as such when Aoi wasn’t around Edith would give the orders. She had started out as a brooding member, always muttering in French and never really giving any effort, but over time she started liking Aoi, even going as far as to call her Madame. The bluenette allowed the name as long as Edith did her job.
Walking farther away from her division she gazed upward again. From here the road up looked steady but…
“Edith,” Aoi voiced her command over her ear piece “I’m going on ahead, have everyone spar gently so that they’ll be in the right mindset.” A soft ‘Yes Madame’ replied through the ear piece. With that Aoi started her trek up the mountain. It was an easy enough trail overall though every now and then she noticed spot that could be dangerous to her Division; she made mental notes of these so she could relay them to Edith later, but nothing that she could consider dangerous to herself.
As she continued onward she noticed the telltale signs of other human movement. Seeing as other divisions were supposed to be here as well she had no concern over them. Though she did make notes on them, after all one could never be too careful around these areas, so that she could tell her Division. When she finally reached the top she took in the view. It was breathtaking how nature could naturally make an area like this. Blue eyes scanned the tops of trees, as well as the solid rock mountains. The sight was simply mesmerizing in all of its poetic natural glory.
After her brief stop she continued until she found the 1st Division making camp. Aoi noted the absence of their captain, as well as any guards, as she walked towards them. As she walked she reached upwards and turned on her ear piece.
“Edith, I’m at the camp, go on up but be careful of some shaky stones. I’m setting up my beacon now.” And with that she turned the beacon on her earpiece and walked towards one of the members of the 1st Division.
“Where would I find Captain Vierre?” She spoke towards the Japanese female.

"...you understand now, correct?" The row of rookies nodded in unison, some of them still looking slightly frightened. The Secretary General eyed through the row once more, then nodding in acceptance. Though rookies, they hadn't been put into the First Division for nothing. They learned fast and would probably grow into excellent soldiers in no time, no doubt. That she had to admit, not that she would've told it to them directly. "Oцень хорошо."(1) Turning around and taking a few steps closer to a man closest to her in the row, she knocked the gun he was holding with her kiseru, giving them all a meaningful look. "You're not armed for nothing. I have my faith in you." With that, she stepped further, dismissed them and was soon left standing on her own again in the middle of the First Division's camp. She sighed deeply, shaking her head slightly, although a tiny smile had already began to crawl on her face. Her earlier fury and aggravation were already fading away.
Good thing they learn from their mistakes.
What she had done was to sneak back into the forest without the rookies noticing, and the next thing they knew was such a ruckus in the forest enough to be thought a small troop. Yekaterina had been a querilla fighter back at Russia long enough to have her ways to create such an illusion. At least the Secretary General was pleased to notice that this time, after she had already rushed out of the forest once the people at the site had woken up a bit, and were not totally unprepared for whatever would come at them from the forest when she finally charged out. Her attacking alone after such a ruckus though had naturally surprised them, and she had easily knocked out the first few weapons pointed at her before she halted and shifted for the verbal lesson. Oh, now she did but chuckle to herself - they so should've seen their faces at that time.
She took out a small pouch, which she usually kept tugged between the layers of her obi, filled her pipe from it and lit it. Taking in a deep draught, she moved a bit further to observe the bustle around her. Seeing the Knights work, working with their camp (and now properly guarding it, too) did make the final traces of her sour mood to disappear. They were all good men and women, more or less taught, though the camp would change that for also the rest of the rookies. What other would have been a training camp's purpose, eh? This was how it was supposed to be - and soon, they'd have bit more power to fight Britannia, to take down that horrid empire of idiots and clowns.
“Where would I find Captain Vierre?” A sudden voice made her turn towards the source of it - having somewhat began to dwell in her thoughts, she was even a bit surprised to see the Captain of the 2nd Division coming at her direction. They must have just arrived, since Yekaterina really hadn't noticed them until now. She gave the woman a formal greeting, and a slight smile. "Oh, Akuma-san. Why, that's exactly what I'd like to know as well." She gave a brief look around. " - same would go for Nagamushi-san as well. I see his people, but not him. But I'm afraid I have no more knowledge of their whereabouts than you do for the moment."
*** (1) "Very good."
