Description:
Racially, Leonard is Caucasian of Swiss ethnicity. He typically wears clothing mostly associated with an admiral. His dress uniform often involves a more grandeur set of clothing, such as a Captain's typical skipper hat, a set of black leather boots, black pants with a white outline running. A double breasted jacket with a lot of white fur on the collar and the end of the sleeves and a pair of black gloves he wears. Although this ornate clothing of grandeur is mostly meant for ceremonial purpose. Were he to go out of the airship, which he often does, he'd wear normal sets of clothing.
By physical appearance, Leonard has blue eyes, fair skin, and a permanent five o' clock shadow on his features. By physical standards, Leonard is quite fit, more slim than muscular. Standing 6' 2'', weighing about 191 ilbs. His other eye is often hidden by an eye patch, he claims that he lost it in the wars but it can't be verified as there were no medical records of him ever losing one, often leaving people to speculate that he is simply wearing an eyepatch to appear war hardened or simply for the fashion of it. His hair is unkempt and loose, yet is at neck's length.

Something of a sarcastic yet cynical 'bastard', he often finds it appropriate to comment inappropriately in a situation that isn't fit for such a comment. Being the kind of person that often sullies himself into many taboos knowing that they are such taboos, and often offends others. It's his kind of thing to offend, being the kind of person that finds solace in giving someone a frown on their face or simply make them plain irritated as part of his unprofessional side leaning towards having a good time through the toils and miseries of another.
His professional side is still cynical but with a serious tone to it, he drops that attitude of his so to get somethings done. He may seem ruthless at times but he holds a conscience over what he does and reflects upon it constantly. But to keep up his toughened soldier act, he wouldn't show his remorse to others, only in his private quarters where he would drink himself into a drunken stupor to forget all of the bad things he has done.
By attitudes towards nations, which is subject to change, he finds a disdain for Britannia. Not a hatred but simply a dislike due to their imperial tendencies and the numerous treaties they have broken with other nations. As for the Euro Universe itself, he sees it as a failed confederation of states that advocates a government that makes it very hard to react to times of war due to the democratic nature of the entire diet. As for the Chinese Federation itself, he isn't really a fan of them, but neither does he consider them friends.
Often though Leo would find himself doing things considered inappropriate in battle, such as taking a nap or such when he deems it unnecessary for his presence to be in the battle to turn the tide of war. Nonetheless, he is an amateur strategist who has a bit of an unorthodoxy way of conducting war on his own scale, which is to say at a very small scale involving on how to blow something up real quickly before he gets his own ship blown to smithereens.
He has a tendency to speak in a very weird mixed Japanese accent with his German in this along with a few more words borrowed from other languages such as Italian given his multi-lingual background as a Swiss man, to which he takes pride in. A boastful man he is.
History:
Zoss was something of an enigma as he never talks about where he was born or what he has done or anyone of that. Like most men in times of war, he lets his actions speak louder than words ever could. He is presumed to be one of the Swiss who lived in the borders where hot skirmishes took place, insurgents supporting the Britannian take-over of the Euro Universe given the lack of political infrastructure in Italy and all that. The result was that several people were killed, that being some people Leo cared for in the form of blood, or so it has been told.
The rest of the story gets more varied at this point on how he went all the way from Europe to Japan. Due to the fact he wasn't even a state-sponsored agent from the Euro Universe but rather, a willing participant who seems to have a tenacity for some sort of recognition and a small desire for revenge, to join up with a certain organization to which he saw his answers in. Having several years of experience as a former admiral in the Swiss navy or so it was told, or at least an engineer with a certain knowledge on how to commandeer a dreadnaught class airship, or even both! Nonetheless, when one asks Leonard, he simply replies that he has done something like commanding an airship before, which leads people to speculate he was part of the Ticino insurgency, where Italian saboteurs and agents planned an insurrection to wrest control from the neutral Switzerland under the guise of being local rebels, to which they were badly beaten due to the sheer power of the air-navy.
Nonetheless, he appeared to the Black Knights in the form of an elaborate planning involving a single explosives and the successful destruction of a Britannian ammo cache that involved a cataclysmic amount of explosion to which the entire warehouse was blown to bits. He took credits for that, and has worked with them for the Black Knights for a while now, several months in fact. Having shown his merits to a superior to which his background is kept unknown for logistical reasons, and also to that he was promoted to becoming the Ikaragua airship captain due to his shady past most of the Black Knights aren't aware of.
He found that his promotion into airship captain wasn't wasted, as he had taken his experience from the past as a former admiral to commandeer the ship with skills, and also given his 'recent' training, to successfully handle prisoners and give a proper interrogation to which he enjoys eerily.
Goal or Dream:
None in particular but to become 'someone' out of being a nobody. Being written down in the visages of history as 'that man who helped Zero' or being noted for something else of noteworthy cause.
