“Darcy? What about Darcy?” “Don’t tell me you’re still wary of him, Zero? Even after I submitted that report? Unless…you are referring to Darcy in a different manner. I’m warning you now, Zero…mess with Darcy and you just might have a mini revolt. Darcy has grown on to many of the members here, two-…I mean three…” Aoi smirked. Looks like she didn’t have to wait long for someone to notice. “Three of them being in your office. As you Second-in-Command, I suggest you play your cards correctly, Zero. Bad enough you have Lockjaw here itching for your blood, but I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t fancy being used as a dart board.”
“Ne, Akuma?”
“Of course not, I was always more of a Chess man myself."
"But regardless, I wouldn't think of putting Lucien in a knightmare frame, it'd be a waste of a good unit - even I know he doesn't have the experience for such a thing, let alone something as advanced as a Pandava. Unlike the Epee that is."
Aoi’s eyes narrowed slightly before she decided to slink around the corner and into the room. “I enjoy a game of chess as well but I’d prefer darts.” Her gaze lingered slightly on the man who had disappeared without a trace. ‘Though somehow it all ends the same for me.’ Her mind drifted to the last time she had played her version of chess.

A hint of lavender mixed with an unusual substance floated through the air. Smoke lightly flowed through the compact room wafting the scents into the occupants’ noses. Two men stood in front of a door gazing at the two main occupants. One, a man, was slouching in his seat, a beer in his hand. His hair was gray with age and his eyes were malicious. He sneered at the person across from him. Across from him a girl, around 15 maybe 16, stared calmly at him. She had her light blue hair layered over her shoulders as the rest was tied up in a messy bun. She wore a long black sleeve shirt and white jeans. Tapping her boots impatiently she took a case beside her and laid it across the table.
“I hope you do not mind if I brought my own.” She said though her tone revealed nothing about her feelings on the matter. A hearty laugh rang through the room.
“Of course not, it’ll end the same anyway.” The man said, his voice gravely from the alcohol.
“You know the stakes.” The girl mumbled as she opened up the case. She pulled the contacts out and quickly set up the board.
“Yes, yes. Now let’s get started girly.” The bluenette’s finger twitched in irritation at the name.
“You first.”
Her eyes studied as he made his first move cockily. In all honesty it didn’t matter what he did, he’d lose.
The match continued on and the man’s cockiness slowly formed to worry.
“Check.”
His eyes widened in surprise and he quickly moved his piece. A small smile placed itself on the girl’s lips.
“Checkmate.”
By now the man had completed his beer and therefore was not quite in his mind. “You know the stakes.” She whispered to the shocked man. She lightly touched the head of his king, a blade quickly formed from beneath it. The man was too in shock to even notice, but the guards did.
“Sir!” The girl lunged forward slicing open the man’s neck. The guards quickly surrounded her. It was over in a matter of seconds. A roundhouse kick to the temple, a slice to the neck, and they all fell to the ground dead.
Glancing at her work she searched in her pocket for her cell phone. As she put it on speed dial she started to pack her pieces into the case. With a small click the phone was answered and the case was packed.
“They’re dead sir.”
“Good work Aoi.”

"Explain.” Aoi snapped out of her thoughts at Anju’s voice.
“And stop the flowery language bullshit. You put people on short tempers here. The faster you talk with the least amount of blah will make everyone happy."
