This is a short story I wrote at school. I put it on here since this is the full version and we can only make it 500-750 words.......which I don't like.Note I don't have spell check at school and I had to type fast. I only posted it here so I had a record on the original before I had to edit it like crazy. So you guys don't have to read it. But here.
I walked silently towards the radio tower. Staring up at the looming building above me I couldn’t wait until I could finally break in. Too long has it been that Easter has kept Ikuto and me prisoner. Today was the day we finally left them. This had all started a few days ago, actually now that I think about it they’ve had it coming for years, when Ikuto had disappeared from my sight. The fact I couldn’t track him meant that he was definitely somewhere in the company’s buildings.
“But what if he’s not with them Nina-chan?” I heard Lin mutter worriedly next to me. True, Ikuto did have a tendency to skip but…this wasn’t like that.
“Call it an instinct Lin.” I whispered quietly to my overly cautious friend.
“Yeah trust Nina, Lin! Either way we’ll slice them and dice them and…” Sylvi yelled excitedly only to be cut off by Lin’s worried buts. Blocking them out I delved into my memories as I picked the lock with ease.
~Flashback~
“Ikuto-san……Ikuto-san?” I heard the woman mutter as she opened the door to see her son not there…..again. Sighing I looked at the blue haired seventeen year old as I leaned back on his roof.
“I had to write down your notes as well as mine today again Ikuto.” I muttered hastily as I perched myself on his roof.
“You keep on skipping school and you’re going to get kicked out…no matter how good your grades are…thanks to me.” I replied to his…silence muttering the last bit mostly to myself.
“Whatever….I went to school yesterday didn’t I.” was the genius response I got as I watch him perch on the edge of the roof ready to jump off it. Nodding wearily I made my hand make a shoo motion. He looked like he was about to jump any second so I might as well have let him go. Watching him smile gratefully he jumped off the roof and onto the tree by it where he went after that I don’t know. Sighing I slipped into his room, put the notes on his bed, and left as silently as I had came.
~Present~
Walking down the winding caverns of hallways I listened for any word of Ikuto. I knew he had to be here somewhere…I just didn’t know where. When he had first disappeared I had thought nothing of it. I only knew now because of three idiotic scientists who need to look at their surroundings before they talk about important stuff.
~ Flashback~
Walking hurriedly along the hallways I stopped as I heard muttering voices. Cursing slightly I quickly went into the air duct above me as three people walked underneath me.
“Yeah, the testing’s almost complete. As long as we have it Ikuto will be completely in our control.” I heard the female one say. Then one said something about the boss and did a little dance but I blocked it out mostly. All I cared about was the fact the Ikuto’s idiotic stepfather finally had control of him…and that was not a good thing.
~Present~
I quickened my pace as the thought of that vile man hurting him came into my mind.
“Now where would he be…where?” I mumbled to myself as I searched room after room. Coming upon an elevator that had guards surrounding it I smirked. Really intruders aren’t supposed to notice when every guard is around one thing? I could’ve easily skipped over them but where would the fun be in that. Deciding no to cause too much attention I grabbed a small rock from a vase and threw it near the opposing hallway. Grinning I saw them split up hurriedly.
“Now,” the words came out more as a purr. “The fun begins.” Walking out from my hiding place I stood in front of them and just stared. Immediately they all came at me, guns loaded. Sidestepping the first I kneed him in the stomach before elbowing his head. The next were just as easy, kicks here and hits there, and eventually they were all down in relatively thirty seconds.
“Amateurs.” I laughed haughtily as I made my way to the elevator. Scanning the card I had swiped from Ikuto’s stepfather I immediately felt a rumble threw the building. The doors opened…but no elevator. Cursing again I grabbed hold of one of the lines and slid myself quickly down the shaft. As I arrived I immediately heard the sound of struggling. Running down the hall saw a blur of pink, yellow, and blue among the colors of black that were the guards. Seeing one of them hold up some sort of rifle I panicked as I saw the symbol on the side. A bold purple X was carved on the side. I didn’t know they had finished making it. They pointed it at the pink haired girl and Ikuto seemed to have noticed because he immediately told her to move. The blonde kid got her out of the way in time but I was more worried about the fact that one of them was pointed at Ikuto. It happened so quick first Ikuto and I looked at the thing, him in surprise mine in horror, then he was out a nearby window and I was desperately clutching at his hand.
From his expression I’m almost positive he didn’t know I was here. Groaning I struggled to pull him up.
“Now come on cat boy stop looking at me like that and help me pull you up.” I groaned as the muscles in my shoulders strained. He complied hastily and eventually we were both on the floor panting. I had the urge to mutter good boy but I resisted the temptation. Now wasn’t the time for sentimental moments. Glancing at the few guards that were left I narrowed my glare. Growling I stood up on my feet and sauntered over to them. Smirking at the audible gulp on of them had I bared a fang. As I moved to strike one idiotic member thought they could out run me. Making him run into my arm I just saw his terrified face before punched him in the nose. Ikuto and I made quick work of them until only two were left. Smirking I picked the first up by the collar.
“Now,” I hissed at him “Where are the Boss and Kaozomi.” I growled as the sound of Ikuto’s stepfather’ name came out of my lips.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Was the cocky reply I received. Smirking I lowered my mouth to his ear.
“Wrong answer.” I whispered slowly before putting my hands around his neck. With a barely audible crack the man fell to the floor. I smiled down at my work before turning to the other frightened guard. He tried to run but he didn’t get far. I grabbed his arms and pulled him back to me. Twisting them I then put both my palms flat against his back as his arms stretched on either side of me. Ikuto walked lazily in front of him and had a cold expression on him. Feeling the man shiver I chuckled into his back before whispering the question again. “And you better have the right answer this time or I’ll do the same thing I did to him.” I gestured over to the dead guard and I knew he’d tell us then.
“Th…there down a few floors. Go…go to your left and head down those stairs. Keep go…going until you reach a door. There’s a secret passage.”
The guard stuttered out. Giving a small nod Ikuto turned his head away and waited at the door. I looked at the guard once more and pondered. In reality this man would probably warn them that they were coming. That was something they didn’t want. Making up me mind I applied more pressure to his back and hiked my leg to his lower back. A low sickening crack erupted around the room as eyes all turned onto me. Discarding the now useless body I turned to Ikuto as he slowly shook his head. He was muttering something that sounded like ‘so violent’. The blonde kid turned to me in shock. I merely turned my head from him and walked towards Ikuto.
He looked down at me with an expression that looked like ‘Now why did you do that?’ Shrugging I looked towards the man again before up at him. Sighing he turned away. Yes, we just had a conversation without words. Turning back to the door I walked out with Ikuto right beside me. This probably wouldn’t end well but, with Ikuto and I together I don’t care how many guards he had we would not lose without a fight.
