Kevin walked into the base and begins to wander around the halls of the base. How long had it been since he was a Black Knight ? How long would he continue this life ? A few weeks had passed and that was all that was going through his head. He wondered when he would be taking his last breath and if, he would die successfully. Sighing, he walked down the halls a little longer and decided to go to the cafeteria to grab something to eat, or in his case, prepare something to eat.
It wasn't a busy day today at the cafeteria. Not many people were in the base at the time and were actually out celebrating. He walked into the kitchen area and opened a cabinet and like his usual old self, took out one of Sakura's stashed sakura tea bags and dropped it into the already boiling water he had placed before hand. He went towards the fridge and opened up a box of Chinese food he had left in there from the day before. It looked fresh enough to eat and so, he placed it in the microwave for three minutes. He went back to the tea and poured it into a cup and added some sugar.
He put his palm against the kitchen top and looks at the microwave which is opposite to him. He watches the tray make numerous amount of circles inside the microwave as it heated. Soon, his mind too jogged back a few years to when he was young and he was living on his own. It was high school time and he was in a boarding school so, he was able to live there seeing as his parents were dead. He missed them everyday and today was a bad day. He knew that the boys from the upper grade were behind him and following him and didn't know what to do. He couldn't go into a class room or else, they'd wait outside and beat him down more as soon as he got out and he couldn't go back into his room since they'd follow him and attack him before he would even be able to do that.
Slowly he made his way to a corner and as he turned he saw the boys had stopped chasing him but instead stopped to see what he was up to. He took his chance and as soon as he made it around the corner, he took off his shoes and made a run for. This was one advantage he had over the boys. His feet made no sound as log as he walked around without them and soon, he made it to the top floor unseen and ended up going up onto the roof. He had lost them for now, but he knew they'd be back today, tomorrow or the day after. He was stuck here with these people who were so mean and cruel. He sat down on the roof and began to cry a little for he missed his mother a lot. It had been so many years that she had passed away and he still couldn't maintain his emotions. He had been the child that never slept anywhere unless his mother was by his side. He didn't care if it was his father, aunt, uncle, brother or anyone else. He only wanted to be with her and now, he couldn't.
He began to hear foot steps coming up the stairs to the roof. With each foot step, the noise got louder and louder until suddenly he flashed back into the present and saw that his food was ready. He took it out and grabbed his tea and went into the cafeteria area and sat in a corner, alone. There had been a few others in the cafeteria who didn't wave at his so, he didn't wave at them either. He simply sat down and sipped his tea as he opened up the food. He looked at the chicken broccoli with fried rice and took a bite out of it. He chewed slowly and soon was finished with the food and almost at the end with the tea. He took the last sip he wanted and then decided on using the cup for other purposes.
He grabbed a packet of cigarettes from his jacket and lighted one. He had no problem smoking here and used the cup as an ash tray. The tea inside of it acted as a absorber which absorbed the smell not the ash while he smoked and blew the smoke out the window behind him. He took out his pocket gun and pulled the crotch back and put it to his head. He did it a couple of times and then left it there, pointing at his head. He used his other hand to dump the cigarette and then closed his eyes.
