Faction Name: Irkalla Corporation
Aliases/abbreviations: Irkalla
Members:
- Aurora Gallows: CEO
- Simon Dyatrikt: Aurora’s private assistant [specialized]
- Josef 'Gauron' Totschläger: Privateer
- Aleksei Makarov: Chief of Damage Control [specialized]
- Alex Price: Sentinel Officer
- Miya Kagami: Wraith
Ranking System:
CEO: Head of the company; the CEO is Aurora Gallows, and she has the final word on all aspects of the company.
Corporate Ranks:
Presidents: Each district has a President, which oversees operations for the district and reports to Aurora. Presidents are required to be extremely well versed in the art of speech, corporate management, and have full understanding of security operations.
Vice-President: The VP is second in command of each district. The VP takes charge of a district when the President is not there, of in case something happens to the president. The VP works in close quarters with the President of their district.
Sector Corporate Manager: SCMs work under the VP. Each district is divided into sectors, and each sector is managed by the SCM. The SCM is responsible for his/her sector, and all corporate operations therein.
Corporate Manager: Corporate Managers work under the SCMs. There is one Corporate Manager per facility. They are in charge of the operations in their designated facility.
Corporate Supervisors: Supervisors work under Corporate Managers. There are multiple Supervisors in each facility, all designated to help the Corporate Managers run their designated facility.
Corporate Associate: A varied group. Corporate Associates are the regular corporate worker for Irkalla. Associates usually specialize in a factor of marketing or finance. They are the cogs of the company, and just because they are the lowest in the corporate food chain doesn’t mean they are treated with disrespect.
Sentinel ranks:
Elite: The best of the best. Elites wear white armor and have their pick of weaponry depending on specialization. Elites usually follow Aurora closely. They answer directly to her, unless ordered otherwise. Becoming an Elite is not an easy task. Even special forces war veterans found the tests to be rigorous, and some didn’t survive the final test. Many Elites bare scars from these trials, and they carry these proudly as a symbol of their devotion to Irkalla.
Elites are the equivalent to a Knight of the Round, or a Champion.
Officers: A Sentinel, Golem, or Wraith can become an Officer with enough knowledge and skill. Officers are designated by a red band on their left arm, painted onto their armor. Officers lead squads and manage military operations.
Golem: Golems are the titans of the Sentinels. Albeit lower than an Elite, Golems bear pure stopping power mixed with remarkable defensive capabilities. Their azoth armors are impenetrable by anything but repeated energy weapon blasts. Golems are the slowest of Sentinels due to their armor. They wear the color gray. Azoth armor has a degree of flexibility, which means Golems can die if faced with pressure [crushing]. But this usually involves a knightmare stepping on them, or a building collapse.
Golems are a specialist class. A Golem can be an Officer as well.
Wraiths: Wraiths are the spies, assassins, and commandos of Irkalla. Wraiths are the only type of Sentinel that seldom wears armor, for their front lines are in plain view, between people. Wraiths gather information, hunt down targets, make secret deals, and even serve as a secret police in Irkalla. Wraiths can become Officers as well. They work directly under Aurora, and are hand-picked by her. Wraiths must show an unrivaled level of loyalty.
Sentinel: The average soldier. They bear black armor that offer unsurpassed mobility while still offering above-average protection. Sentinels wear microfiber armor, which is light weight and flexible, while offering better protection than kevlar. Microfiber armor can protect against melee blade attacks as well.
Sentinels come from all walks of life. They may be ex-military, or just an average person that decided to seek a military career in Irkalla. They are trained by the best in rigorous trials that rival Spetznaz in terms of cruelty, though at the same time teach the importance of teamwork. Sentinels who train together are put in the same squad, for after they survive training, they will be closer to each other than they are to their own families.
Publishing Department:
Head of Publishing: the head of publishing is in charge of anything relating to the media. Commercials, bribes to the news media, fabrication of information, etc. The Head of Publishing has the task of making Irkalla’s public face an immaculate beacon of hope and good-will.
Research and Development:
Chief of R&D: The Chief oversees all sections of research and development. He/she reports regularly to Aurora. The Chief is responsible of making sure all sections of R&D are in time with their operations, and sticking to their budget. It’s not an easy job, specially with Aurora making new designs every day.
Head of Section 0: Section 0 deals with Irkalla’s military technologies. Everything from knightmares to rifles to combat knifes and armor. Section 0 draws from other sections, along with making their own research.
The Head of Section 0 is a symbol of discretion, thoroughness, and security. To the public eye Section 0 doesn’t exist, and it is the job of the Head to make sure all operations are kept secret. The Head of Section 0 must also make sure all research and development is up to date, or better, ahead of schedule. The Head also designs new technologies.
Head of Section 1: Section 1 deals with pharmaceutical r&d. Medicines, prosthetics, medical equipment... and so forth. The Head makes sure all this research and development runs smoothly, as well as design new technologies.
Head of Section 2: Section 2 deals with civilian technology. Cars, alarm clocks, cookware, beds, cellphones, computers... you name it. The Head of Section 2 makes sure all this r&d runs smoothly, as well as design new technologies.
Head of Section 3: Section 3 deals with fashion. Clothing, makeup, and apparel. The Head of Section 3 works closely with Aurora. He/she makes sure all this r&d runs smoothly, as well as design new technologies.
Researcher: Researchers work under the Head of their Section. They specialize on their field, and are some of the brightest minds in the world.
Specialty/Other ranking:
Privateer: Privateers are mercenaries and spies hired by Irkalla to do the ‘dirty work’. A Privateer is given a task. The Privateer then heads off and accomplishes said task by any means he/she might seem necessary. Once the task is done they come back to Irkalla to get their reward. This reward may be discussed beforehand. If the Privateer is captured in the act, Irkalla will deny any ties to the Privateer.
Privateers are considered part of the company for they make a very select list. They are given access to Tier 1 & 2 military technologies.
Other Specialized: The corporate world is complicated. There is always the time someone will be hired by Irkalla who’s personal skills are beyond anything described in this list. When that happens, that person gains a ‘specialized rank’, unique to that individual. Specialized ranks usually answer directly to Aurora.
Ambition: Irkalla’s goal is the betterment of humanity. To the public face and low-ranking members Irkalla does this by producing the best cutting-edge medical and civilian technologies and pharmaceuticals, funding and building hospitals and orphanages, feeding the needy, even giving out free vaccinations in third world countries.
There is a darker aspect to this goal, however. Those close to Aurora, which are the entire middle/upper tier of the organization, know that Irkalla seeks to rid the world of all war and destruction. A campaign towards a global utopia that will stop at nothing. Irkalla’s secret manifesto also speaks of the ills of nations and nationalism, and against religious fanatism [Irkalla members are given freedom of religion, as long as the members are not preachy or fanatics].
Irkalla will stop at nothing to achieve it’s goal of world peace, even if it involves destroying a few nations in the process. So far everything is done in secrecy.
All Irkalla members carry their communal goal with pride, and will stop at nothing to see it achieved. There is a strong sense of family in Irkalla, a brotherhood/sisterhood of sorts. It is almost a mild cult-like behavior that is very effective in making everyone know that they are a key part of a whole, making everyone feel important in the company, yet not superior to any other member of Irkalla.
Irkalla is careful about it’s members. High ranking ones have reached their positions through endless secret tests of loyalty, and constant secret monitoring. Aurora is very meticulous, wishing to ensure the safety of her goals and the goals of the company. No one member knows about all plans and plots. Irkalla is divided into specializations, where the engineer making a part will not know what that part goes to. The production line worker will make a knightmare and not know to whom it will be marketed to, and so on. This works as a method to ensure each individual focuses solely on their task, while at the same time preventing any possible leaks of information.
Members of Irkalla have loyalties to the corporation and not to nations. Everyone in Irkalla has a sense of doing a greater good for the world, even if it’s through violence. More than a company, Irkalla is a family, a society of it’s own, close-knit and brotherly. Traitors and spies stand out like a sore thumb, for a true member of the company is blindly loyal to the end. Not out of fear, but out of duty and a sense of family few organizations have anymore.
Irkalla’s corporate mottos are examples of the discipline, dedication, and wishes of the company:
“We are the nationless paladins of this world.”
“Power. Loyalty. Unity. Peace.”
History: Founded four years ago, Irkalla Corp was originally known as Zephyr Tech, a famous European company of civilian electronics technologies. When Aurora’s adoptive father and CEO of Zephyr Tech died, Aurora inherited the company, and drove it to the international corporate giant it is today. Irkalla’s civilian electronics technology department grew to include all fields of civilian life, such as automotive, kitchen ware, electronic gaming, and bedding, while taking it’s original entertainment and computer technologies to the next level and beyond. Irkalla brand computers are considered the definition of cutting edge even to this day. Many people and even other companies choose to use Irkalla’s world-renown computer operating system called “Delphi”.
Irkalla then expanded to medical technologies, bringing forth new machinery that facilitated complicated surgeries, making them less invasive, and generally expanding human life. With this came the opening of Irkalla’s medical branch, which now included pharmaceuticals. Revolutionary new medicine made from organic materials. Irkalla’s first pharmaceutical, Valkyrex, aimed to be a substitute to insulin for diabetics. A pill that chemically stabilized glucose levels in the blood. Valkyrex was considered revolutionary to a nearly miraculous level. It didn’t cure the disease, but as long as patients keep taking it, they can live their lives as though they didn’t have the disease at all, free to eat and drink whatever they want. It wasn’t long before Irkalla found a cancer treatment with 80% survival rating that did not involve chemotherapy. Irkalla carries a series of payment options for treatments and expensive medicine that makes it accessible to all walks of life.
By now Irkalla had expanded operations to Britannia. The Britannian government was glad to open trade with Irkalla, craving the marvelous technologies and drugs Irkalla had to offer. It wasn’t long before China accepted Irkalla’s offer to trade. Trade with China has never been as open as with other countries, but that is mainly due to China’s political restrictions.
After this Irkalla opened it’s fashion department. Irkalla’s fashion line, called Lilith, is the rage in the fashion industry worldwide. Modern clothing mixing sensuality, practicality, and an old-world charm. Aurora wears nothing but her own designs, and the charismatic industry leader has been known to even parade down the catwalk in certain events. Lilith clothing was also praised for the fact it doesn’t just market to the ungodly skinny, but also has a varied selection of plus size clothing for women and men. Lilith’s slogan is “Making the world beautiful, one individual at a time.”
Having a stronghold on the world market, and bringing in millions of dollars in income, Aurora began to secretly research military technologies. Armors, weapons, knightmares, tanks, naval units, air superiority fighters... anything one could imagine. Most of this research is conducted in the remote heavily fortified private island in the Aegean Sea. This facility is called Muspelheim, and most of it is underground.
The secret military department, nicknamed Section Zero, is known only to Aurora and Section Zero staff. This staff consist of the most loyal members of Irkalla, blindly dedicated to their work. They know Irkalla seeks to unite the world. The designers also know about the operations of the ghost company Aegis.
Irkalla keeps the best military technology it researches to itself. It also develops specific technologies for every nation, selling them through a ghost company by the name Aegis Enterprises. Aegis has a small team of specialized and deeply loyal managers and staff that deals solely on keeping all ties between the ghost company and Irkalla a secret.
Regardless of these endeavor, Irkalla has always been clear about it’s philanthropic desire to make the world a better place for humanity, promote the well-being of mankind, and that they will never waiver or support terrorism. Irkalla is known to openly oppose wars and terrorism with great prejudice, along with weapons of mass destruction.
Extra: New characters that wish to gain a specialized rank may contact Aurora [username ‘setsuna’] and discuss this. Another alternative is to be hired in-game.
