"Stronger or more addictive? No... no research has been made for such a goal. After we pinpointed the attributes that makes a substance addictive we stopped the research. However, now that we know said attributes is should be easy to make an addictive substance. As for making it stronger... I doubt it would take much time to figure out. After all, it is just basic chemistry. Would you have us conduct research for such a purpose?" Ke-Lan had no emotion while explaining all of this. To her it wouldn't matter either way... and she honestly didn't care if Kayeri didn't explain the purpose of such research. It was none of her business what intentions the royalty had for their requested research. For all she knew Kayeri was a drug pusher. It wouldn't make a difference to her.
Ke-Lan's eyes drifted to Jeager, though she spoke to Kayeri still, "Mr. Tzilling... this conversation seems to be heading to a topic that perhaps should be kept in private. Maybe Major Jeager should wait outside the door?" her eyes shifted immediately to Kayeri, "I leave this to your discretion. If any information leaks out it would not have been because of me." she nodded firmly. It wasn't a matter of distrusting Jeager. She had no reason why to suspect the Major of any misdeeds. However, she was a meticulous person... almost to the point of obsessive compulsiveness. She didn't take chances, that's why she used to be an incredible soldier, and now an efficient scientist.

Ling thought about it. While the mercenaries from Central Europe, particularly the Swiss, were known for their loyalty as long as there was money to be around, that was a generalization. It was somewhat unkind to eject him, it was also protocol. And, while the Chief of Science had a bit of a reputation for being fastidious, such attention for detail had also been the thing that had gotten her promoted, according to the file at the Archives. Yet, as was the values with many Asian populations, Ling did not especially like wounding the pride of a soldier by showing mistrust, as well-founded as it was. In many cases, this anger could boil up at the worst possible times. "It's alright. Doctor, please call me after both of you are done. I'll stay outside for now." it was not an especially satisfying result, but, if anything, Ling was a fairly patient man.

"Mr. Tzilling... this conversation seems to be heading to a topic that perhaps should be kept in private. Maybe Major Jeager should wait outside the door?"
Having already gotten what he needed, Jeager decided he should play the understanding soldier due to the top secret information leaking out, as the entire conversation wasn't meant for him to hear in the first place. The meticulous woman had a reputation for being so secretive about information to a point it was on a need-to-know-basis. The Major had already gotten that part and decided to make his exit at this point. Giving a quick military style salute as he clicked his heels to one another, hand raised to his crown as his chest puffed up high with a soldier's pride as his own version of good bye in the form of a dismissive salute to the Doctor and Li Tziling. He soon abandoned that stature in favor of the normal one he assumes.
"It's alright. Doctor, please call--"
Not staying to wait for Li Tziling to finish, Jeager helped himself out of the door and paced outside. Closing the door behind himself, he leaves the room and with it, the two occupants within the area. He has to go and file that report for the inspection.

Ke-Lan nodded to Jaeger, "Have a good day, Major." she said as her form of goodbye. Once Jaeger had left Ke-Lan turned to Kayeri with her usual emotionless demeanor, "I suppose we can continue this conversation.... so you wish to know how to increase the addictive level of opiates? As I said, I can assign some of my researchers into this task." Ke-Lan's mind was going through a million tasks at the time. She was running constant checklists, as any ocd person would. She wanted to initiate testing of the serums immediately... maybe she wasn't pushing her staff hard enough? She wondered if assigning more people into her bio-research team would speed things up... but that would mean taking people off some other programs.
