Description:
Personality:
Okure is a very social and liked person. His friends would describe him a great friend and a gentle lover. He could also be described as brave, but that's only when he's doing his job. Otherwise he is like any other guy. He never underestimates one's injuries. Okure is also very polite, but when a human life is on the line, he is a very heavy curser. Okure is never selfish and he can command others if necessary. Okure is a very talented doctor, and he treats everyone. He doesn't judge people due to their skin color, origin or social status.
Athletic body of him comes from Okures sporty personality. On his free time he loves to jog, go to gym and so on. He also likes to party and go out with his friends, but during his late nights in bar or clubs he never uses alcohol. He neither uses tobacco or any kind of illegal drugs (well actually any kind of drugs, except for medical usage). All in all Okure takes very good care of himself, for he lives very healthy and eats healthy too. He isn't world's best cook, but he has some recipes of his own that could be served even in the royal tables.
Okure is known to have a massive arachnofobia. This has its roots at a hiking trip in Britannia mainland, where he ran into a brown recluse (Loxosceles reclusa) spider and was nearly killed to its venom. He survived though, mostly thanks to his woodcraft and survival skills. This confrontation left a little scar in his left hand (under the banner he always wears) and a huge fear towards 8-legged creatures. On the other hand Okure loves snakes. All sorts of serpents, venomous or not. He owns two of 'em, a sunbeam snake (Xenopeltis unicolor) and a Phipson's shieldtail (Uropeltis phipsonii). This is more closely explained in his history, but the very reason he loves snakes is still unclear.
Another thing Okure loves is gambling. Actually, he's addicted to it. Mostly he loves chess and he's pretty good in it too. He is also very skilled in the use of knives and they are his passion. In case of combat he doesn't approve or use guns of any sort, instead he uses his knives to his selfprotection. In Okures opinion Knightmares are the worst thing world has ever seen. Okure is also addicted to black wool socks for some unknown reason, and can always be seen with such in his shoes.
Okure has worked as children's doctor (before he became a real doctor and a field medic) from where comes his love towards children. Okure doesn't have any kids or a wife, but he plans to get those at some point.
History:
Born as the only child of the Nagamushi family in 2090. He was raised in Hokkaido (which might be the reason for his wool sock addiction) from where he has spent most of his life and from where he got most of his education. Later on, he was accepted in a well-known Japanese medical school and graduated as a medical assistant. After a few years of working in children's hospital in Hokkaido, he was granted with the status of a doctor candidate, and after a few years as a candidate (at the age of 25) he officially became a doctor. At the age of 26 he was dragged to a war-zone where he worked as a field medic, and on that same course he is even now.
For what comes to his parents, they both are alive. His mother, Hotaru Nagamushi, is half-paralyzed (she was in a tram accident and lost one of her legs) and his father, Kichirô Nagamushi, is a retired police. Okure’s father has a drinking problem, and therefore Okure hasn’t kept contact to him. His mother on the other hand is very dear for him, and he keeps contact with her regularly. Okure hasn’t seen his parents since he started his studies 11 years ago. Okure doesn't have any siblings, for his babysister was born dead, for which Okure blaims himself. He has grown off it, but his babysisters death left a scar in him that will never heal. It can be seen in his love towards children and the way he treats people, for he fears to be unable to save his patients life, like his little sister (ofcourse, it wasn't his fault, he just can't stop blaiming himself).
Along his studies, Okure lived a whatsoever normal life. Woodcrafts, hiking and wilderness have always been close to his heart, even after the accident with the brown recluse spider in Britannia mainland. He's very talented with his hands and likes to carv both wood and stone. Woodcrafts also help him in his primary job as a field medic, for many patients have been saved and will be saved thanks to his knowledge of his surrounding environment.
Okure got his first snake from her mother as a souvenir from china, the sunbeam snake (Xenopeltis unicolor) when he started his studies. That is where his love towards serpents started to blush. Nowadays his passion for snakes has became like an obsession and he owns another sunbeam snake, and a Phipson's shieldtail (Uropeltis phipsonii). Some say that the serpents are part of his identity, some even claim that he has more serpents genes than humans. No matter what the truth is, Okure seems to be able to conversate with serpents and they seem to follow him where ever he goes.
Okure's present location is in the area 11 in the tokyo settlement. He is taking a small break from his work as a field medic for further studies in humans anatomy and nanotechnology. This far Okure has only been able to save peoples life, for example amputate a leg, but not to heal them properly (that's the way field medics work). But now he aims to learn a way to replace lost limbs and body parts in the infirmary after conflicts, for it is well-known, that the sooner the new body parts are installed, the faster they will heal.
Goal or Dream:
Okure's goal is to heal everyone in need of a medic until the wars are over and his services are no longer required. He also dream of finding a cure to what happened to his little sister.

Brief example of Role Play:
He wiped his forehead and spat. Okure wasn't gonna lose this one, but luck wasn't on his side. It was like playing chess, one has to adapt to every move of his opponent. Only real time tactics matter. Sterile bandages were running out and most of his equipment were covered with dirt and dust. Not the best possible situation for a medic who has a dying patient in front of him. Damn weather. "If I only could get my additional equipment..."
Another explosion and dust rose again. "Hikaru! Get those damn bandages will you?!"
he shouted without a clue of where Hikaru actually was. He soon was to realize that Hikaru was shaking next to his leg on the ground moaning and sobbing. Hikaru was a newcomer and therefore he was scared. He couldn't be blaimed, but if Okure didn't get his gear his patient would die instantly. "Hikaru get a hold on yourself! You know where the HQ is right? Grab your gear and go! I'll be here."
Okure gave him a little smile and rose him up from his shoulders. Hikaru was too young for this, Okure thought he must've been almost the same age he was when he first started his studies. "You can do it. The frontline has moved a lot forward, there's nothing to fear. You'll be safe in the HQ, OK?" Hikaru stopped shaking and wiped his face from tears. "I'll be back shortly" Hikaru said, "Here, take my extra bandages". Hikaru always carried extra with him and thank god he did. This might save the patients life. Okure gave him a nod, thanked him and watched as he ran to the dust cloud. He would make a great medic once he got his head together.
Okure returned to his patient. He was a young boy, not over 20. He had a gunshot wound in his left flank, just below ribs, and his right hand was cut off from wrist. The flank looked pretty good; the bullet had come through the body and hadn't punctured any internal organs. The wrist instead looked pretty bad. The wrist artery hadn't stopped bleeding. The boy was going cold so Okure made his descision. "Listen up. Your hand is going to kill you unless i burn the wound. To do that I'm going to need your help and approval, OK?" The boy shook his head a little. "Great, this is what we'll do. You'll need to take this belt (Okure handed him a belt he had tied around his right hand to slow the bleeding) and keep it as tight as you can. I'll burn the wound with this little lighter, it's called the sanitizer." He took the sanitizer from his med-kit and turned it on. In few seconds it would reach the temperature of 250 degrees celcius. It was an old friend of his and had been with him for ages. Okure bought it from an european doctor at the time he was working in the children's hospital. The europeans were a big step ahead of the others when it came to medical supplies and equipment. The led in the end of the sanitizer turned red as a sign that it was ready for use. "This will hurt. Bite this, it'll ease the pain." Okure stuffed a wooden stick between his patients teeth and put his knee upon the boys chest to keep him steady. "Ready?" Okure asked and waited until boy shook his head. The stick snapped in peaces and a loud shriek of pain split the air as Okure burned the wound with few rapid moves. The bleeding stopped and the boy went unconscious.
Okure woke up the next morning in his little room in the HQ. It took a while to get up for yesterday had been rough. He walked to the dressing rooms nearby to take a shower. He was covered in dirt and blood. Hot shower washed away the stench from his skin and made him relax for a while. He had saved many lives, but still he felt he had failed. The boy whose hand Okure had to burn didn't recover as planned. It might be impossible to attach him a new hand and he might never be able to use it again... These thoughts ran through his mind as he performed his daily exersices. The boy had been saved and taken to hospital where he now was recovering. He hadn't woken up but his pulse was steady and he was otherwise ok. Okure desided to take a look at him for he reminded Okure of something or someone, and he felt sorry for the boy. Okure felt resposible for his lost hand. He might be able to get an inorganic replacement, a metallic prosthesis, but it wasn't the same. And it costs a lot. If Okure only had found his hand he could've attached it and used his knowledge in nanotechnology to completely take care of the wound...
