Description:
A 5’ 3” Indian woman, Anju is dark skinned with a wide smile and oval face, with star tattoos along the left side (think Kat Von D except they go under her eye and down her check too.) She has black hair that ends at her chin, with the exception of a thick ponytail at the base of her skull that goes to her mid-back. She needs glasses but always wears different colored contacts, most favored at green and red. Usually dresses in too long holey jeans that bunch over 3” platform flip-flops, a tank top or corset-blouse, and a chopped up lab coat.
Think Aishwarya Rai, the Indian model. She looks almost exactly like what I imagined Anju to look like! (And I didn't cheat! I learned about her like 3 months ago, and I created Anju 7 months ago.) She has the smirk down too.
Personality:Anju is an easygoing woman who would rather spend her time tinkering around a garage and getting dirty than being presentable to society. To new acquaintances and people she doesn't like, she displays a cool and sarcastic demeanor, often insulting them before blowing them off. To those who gain her favor, she is very chummy and affectionate, and does her very best to ensure her friends happiness. She is especially fond of Sakura Shizuka, whom she sees as her charge and adopted baby sister/daughter.
Mentally, Anju is very stable. She rarely faces any personal crises because she knows exactly what she wants and works hard to go about getting it. Anju may be a bit cynical, due to watching how the world is essentially being controlled by Britannia. She is a former Hindu practitioner, but after loosing her child and husband she lost all faith.
History:Born to a reasonably well off family in Mumbai, India, Anju was raised with two older brothers in a traditional household. Although the times were getting more advanced, Anju’s parents tried to keep family the priority and their culture strong. Her father was the CEO of an oil company and her mother was a housewife. Anju was raised to be a presentable lady and marry rich in order to spend her days as a traditional Indian house wife, which did not sit well with her, who felt there was more to life than that. She was brought up to be ladylike but she preferred being active over sitting beside a man in a sari pouring tea forever. Anju respected her parents greatly, and although they believe in tradition, they love her enough to let her search for her own path.
She discovered mechanics when her older brother, Raul, bought a junked antique car to fix up and let her help. Discovering she was good at it, Anju poked through a few books and asked her teachers about it, before diving into the world of engineering, working on multiple projects and designing several machines of her own. Because of her research, Anju came to hear of Lakshata Chawla, a woman who excelled in the same field, and thus became something of her role model.
After much convincing, Anju was allowed to attend Amity University in Jaipur when she was 18, earning a Bachelor and Masters in Mechanical & Automation Engineering. Because her goals involved associating with other social classes, Anju got to see how the lower stations lived. She found that she had more in common with them the she did with her own class.
After graduating, Anju got a job in her father’s oil company, designing drills and oil refiners then were more effective and better quality then most designs on the market. Her research into machines earned her several awards in the engineering community.
When she turned 24, her parents approached her with a marriage proposal from a well known, respectable gentleman, Raoul. He was very well off and was an acquaintance that she got along with. Although she had no interest in love or marriage at the time, Anju agreed to respect her parent’s wishes. They were married quietly and tastefully, and the after party was wild.
Raoul respected Anju’s limit at close friendship, so the extent of their intimacy was the first night of their honeymoon and a few hilarious games of strip poker. That night resulted in a bouncing baby girl nine months later, lovingly named Anjali. Anju temporality retired from her work to care for herself and the baby during this time.
Unfortunately, the Holy Empire of Britannia, in its ever expanding imperialism, chose this point in time to target India. Raoul was anti-Brit and was active in plots to throw them out. He and Anjali were killed in an assassination aimed at rebellion leaders. Anju was heartbroken, and utterly furious at the deaths. She resolved to devote herself to ripping Britannia up by the roots and destroying them. Anju had followed the exploits of the Black Knights since their creation, becoming even more interested when she found out Lakshata was a member. Determining her best chance at revenge was with them, Anju made her way over to the Black Knight headquarters to offer her services. Along the way, she ran into Sakura, whom she found half dead, and nursed her back to health. The two became fast friends and Anju took her along with her to join the Knights. The younger girl appealed to the maternal instincts in her left over from Anjali and as such took care of her in the same manner. After a few issues with her attitude, she was appointed as a lead technician under Lakshata.
Goal or Dream:She wants to do away with the world which Britannia has made, where children have to be afraid and wives weep.

*Brief example of Role Play:The missiles hit. Anju was thrown to the floor as Sakura threw her down and covered her with her body. After the last missile hit, Sakura jumped off her and Anju ran to a control panel to survey the damage done to the ship. The blasts had ruptured the shielding over the lower portions of the Ikaruga, destroying a large portion of the cargo areas and damaging a lot of machinery.
She ran her fingers over the panel, activating repair droids and signaling walls to cease electrical output to prevent fires. She grabbed a headset, calling down to the lower levels demanding casualties and reports of the damage taken. It looked like while severe, the destruction was limited to the one area.
An officer at another station shouted, "The Shikine base has hailed us. They say it wasn't them." Accusations and orders flew around the bridge, getting louder and more hysterical. Anju brought up a visual of the island and the base. She zoomed in on the coordinates from the initial detection of the missiles. The hell...?
She grabbed the officer who had first informed them of the missiles. "Are you positive it was from this spot?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"It's a back road there, nowhere near the arms housing! The weapons that hit us need a proper launch pad to get off the ground."
"The numbers are right, ma'am. This was where they came from!"
Anju hissed through her teeth and bent over the panel. There was no way the weapons could have come from there unless there was a launch pad, no way...
She shot her head up and glared at the man. "Are there any satellites circling the area? Weather balloons, observation planes, anything?"
He shouted at another officer, who typed commands into her computer, before looking over. "A television satellite. It has some cameras for reporting storms."
"Hack in. Find out if it has footage of the launch."
"Yes, ma'am."
The officer typed, sending all the information to Anju's computer. She brought up the images of the island that the satellite had been able to capture. She zoomed in as best she could without losing the visual data. She stared.
It was a truck. The missiles came from a freaking truck. The clarity wasn't good enough to decipher anything or anyone next to it but someone had obviously driven it there, especially to blame Britannia.
*Role Playing Experience in Years:Maybe one. I've been Anju in a differnt Code Geass RP and Asuna Saki in Cherry Blossom High, a chronic drunk who breaks the forth wall when wasted enough.
